The World Mahabharatha Championship (WMC) is more than a competition—it’s an immersive exploration into one of the world’s greatest epics. Designed to bring the values and lessons of the Mahabharata to life, this unique championship offers participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the epic’s timeless wisdom and philosophy.



About the Championship

The WMC invites participants of all ages to delve into the profound teachings of the Mahabharata. It’s a platform to hone analytical and interpretative skills while engaging with thought-provoking questions that draw from this epic masterpiece.

Objective

  • To enhance understanding of the Mahabharata’s rich wisdom and enduring philosophy.

  • To build analytical and interpretative skills through an engaging and competitive format.

Who Can Participate?

The championship is open to:

  • Children: 1st to 10th standard.

  • General Category: Individuals aged 16 and above.

Languages Available

  • Sub-Junior to Senior Categories: Kannada, English, Telugu.

  • General Category: Kannada and English.

Mode of Participation

The championship is conducted entirely online, encompassing both registration and the examination process. This ensures easy access and participation from the comfort of your home.

Competition Format

  • Preliminary Round:

    • 60 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

    • Duration: 1 hour.

  • Main Round:

    • 60 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).

    • Duration: 1 hour.

Age Categories

  1. Sub-Junior: Ages 6 to 8 years.

  2. Junior: Ages 9 to 12 years.

  3. Senior: Ages 13 to 15 years.

  4. General: Ages 16 and above.

Reference Material

While participation does not mandate the use of any specific material, contestants may refer to a Mahabharata book for a deeper understanding of the content.

Prizes

The championship offers an exciting array of rewards, including gadgets, scholarships, and certificates, to recognize and celebrate the achievements of participants.

Exam Batches

The competition is conducted in three batches, providing flexibility to participants to choose a convenient slot.

Timeline

  • Annual Shortlist: Tentatively published in December every year.

  • Final Exam: Scheduled for December.

  • Results: Declared following the Mains exam.
