It is hard to define the thriller genre, but it is easy to tell when you are reading one. If you find yourself inching slowly toward the edge of your seat, your heartbeat is up a few beats, and you have squeezed the air out of a cushion you are hugging, it is safe to say you are reading a spy thriller. Racing against the clock while unmasking their enemies, spy agents juggle between protecting the country and executing strategies while carrying out covert operations to save the world.
StoryMirror invites you to be a part of the “Professional Writer Hunt” contest where we want you to bring out your inner wordsmith and write a nail-biting spy thriller. It can be about any spy agents you like as long as it gets our heart racing, and our inner sleuth guessing.
The winners will bag a paid “Professional Writing Project”, where you can earn a good amount of money and the opportunity to get more such paid projects from StoryMirror.
Rules:
Participants should submit their content around the suspense / thriller/ action genre only.
If your contents fall into Spy, more preference will be given to the contents
Participants should submit their original content. There is no limit to the number of content you submit.
Minimum word limit is 800 words. There is no maximum word limit.
Any submission made over email or as a hard copy or without using the contest link will not be eligible for entry.
There is no participation fee.
Judgment criteria:
Spycraft (35%)
Current international political environment (20%)
Knowledge of the intelligence community (20%)
Suspense (15%)
Dialogues in the story (10%)
Prizes:
The winners will get a professional writing project and will be eligible for one or more than one projects. These projects will be paid projects.
