IBGB Learning Society is a registered non profitable organization which had its humble beginning on 15th August 2009 with an aim to cultivate academic excellence in Geography and to inculcate the competitive spirit amongst the students with the understanding of the subject.
The society strives to promote Geography by conducting Geo Genius National Geography Olympiad across India
Geo Genius National Geography Olympiad is a two level examination. Level-I is conducted at the school level and the students who clear this stage make it for Level-II.
The Students are divided into three categories for the Olympiad :
Class 2 to 4 - Sub-Junior
Class 5 to 7 - Junior Category
Class 8 to 10 - Senior category
FEES:
National Geography Olympiad Registration Fee is Rs. 300 per student. This is a one time registration fee and the student need not to pay any further registration fee/amount, if he/she qualifies for Level II and subsequent Level III.
Geography Olympiad Preparatory textbook compiled by I.B.G.B. Learning Society is available on demand from Society Office for an amount of Rs. 110 + dispatch charges i.e. Rs. 90.
At Level I, students initially participate at their respective schools. Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and Certificates of Distinction are awarded to the winners in each category.
Appreciation/Participation Certificates are given to all the participants.
Students selected on the basis of cut off marks are invited for Level II exam.
The Level II exam consists of two parts: a written test, an audio visual round test.
Three winners in each category are awarded and all the participants are acknowledged by National Finalist Trophy and a Certificate.
The study material for the Olympiad are updated regularly with innovation and research.
Level I - Exam Date - 4th December, 2022 Sunday. Students should be in possession of Laptop/Desktop/Tablet/Smartphone to appear for the exam.
Level II – Exam will be conducted online in the month of February 2023. The firm date of the exam will be conveyed along with the result of Level I.
Level III - Exam will be conducted in the month of March 2023. The date of the exam will be announced along with the results of Level II.
The International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) has recognized Geo Genius India as India's National Geography Competition. This would enable the winners to represent India internationally.
Registration starts from 1st April– 30th October, 2022
