StoryMirror in collaboration with HydRAW presents India's first Interactive Novel Writing Contest - A contest designed to provide an opportunity to the readers to decide what course of action the characters of the story take and there is no better way to motivate, reaffirm and refresh yourself than by participating in this contest.
Concept of Interactive Novel Writing Contest
Traditional form of writing a novel is based on an author’s imagination and the plot and is based on how the author wants to take the reader through the journey. In this format, the reader has no option but to follow the author’s journey. Wouldn’t it be nice if the reader can decide what course of action the characters of the story take?
You will be given a short story as a prompt and you have to submit your story based on the given prompt. There will be a total of 10 prompts and the best stories will be culminated into an interactive novel. Each prompt will have multiple questions, each question suggesting a different direction the story can go into. You can pick up any question to write their story. Readers will be able to navigate through the best five submissions selected for each prompt in any combination thus traversing multiple variations of the same base story.

There are no restrictions on genre.
Winners will be decided by our jury.
Participants should submit their original content. There is no limit to the number of content you submit.
Any submission made over email or as hard copy or without using the contest link will not be eligible for entry.
There is no participation fee.
Do not copy the given prompt in your story.
The word count for the story is in between 1000 - 2000 words.
