Being launched in the year where COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill, this year’s ATL Marathon will draw inspiration from Atmanirbhar Bharat and align itself with the 17 goals of “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” (SDG) adopted by all United Nation Member States.
The ATL Marathon will rest on the five pillars of Atmanirbhar Bharat – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Demography, Demand.
Students will get a chance to vote on a problem statement under each of these pillars and finally work on a solution to the problem by building a prototype and implementing it. All solutions need to be backed by strong research work to truly grasp the brevity of the problem at hand.
Gratification:
All students will get a participation certificate
Top 10 teams per district will be recognised including their teacher & mentor
Top 200-300 teams will get a chance to participate in Student Internship Programs with Atal Incubation Centres or AIM Corporate Partners
Schools that submit more than 25 innovations will receive special certificates for their teachers & mentors as well as be recognised by AIM on social media.
What is Research and how to do it?
To do research, you may either do a short survey with your nearby friends, family or community to ask them about the problem statement that you have chosen. Collate their responses and write a paragraph on your analysis. If a survey is not possible, you may conduct secondary research by reading articles or books on the specific problem statement you have chosen to improve your understanding of the issue. You may submit a document with details on how you conducted your research and explain your understanding of the problem statement post your research.
For further guidance, please reach out to your teachers & mentors.
Last date to submit entries for the ATL Marathon 2020 is 31st March 2021
