The objective of open art competition is to engage children in a creative exercise to express themselves, stimulate their creativity and innovative ideas through art.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all students/ researchers enrolled in higher educational institutions (UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D. and Post Doc) in any colleges/ universities in India. Open and distance learning students are also eligible to participate
Rules
The participant should be registered at least 48 Hours before the competition
Three topics for the competition will be given 24 Hours before the competition in their login and mobile app
The art can be a sketch, drawing or a painting using any tools such as pencil, crayon, water colour, oil paint, computer drawing, etc.
Photographs, wires, and other 3D objects are not acceptable
The work of art should be original and it must be created by the participant himself or herself
The art should not include words, national flags or slogans
The art should not infringe or violate other’s rights, trademarks, intellectual property rights and copyrights
The art should be appropriate at school student levels. They should not violate any rules of India and should not be indecent, offensive, hateful, defamatory and unsuitable for public display and publication
The participant should be registered for the competition
Clear image showing the entire art should be uploaded in the online login provided at the time of registration or using the National Reading Month Mobile App
Judge’s decision will be final

The first and second prizes will be awarded according to the regions of India or state-wise depending on the entries
