The 7th Jan Aushadhi Diwas is just around the corner, and this year’s celebration comes with an exciting Script Writing Competition organized by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), in collaboration with MyGov. The competition is designed to highlight the importance of Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) and their mission to provide affordable and high-quality medicines to citizens across India. With a vision to open 25,000 Kendras, this competition invites creative minds to participate and raise awareness about this transformative initiative.

About the Jan Aushadhi Diwas Script Writing Competition

The theme of the Script Writing Competition is "Daam Kam, Dawai Uttam", which emphasizes the idea of affordable medicines being of high quality. This year’s competition seeks to encourage participants to use their creativity and imagination to create impactful scripts that promote the benefits of Jan Aushadhi Kendras and the incredible difference they make in the lives of millions.

By participating, you’ll have the chance to contribute to a national movement that’s revolutionizing access to healthcare. The Jan Aushadhi Yojana is ensuring that people across India can access essential medicines at prices 50% to 80% lower than branded counterparts, making healthcare more affordable and accessible to all.

Participation Guidelines

To participate in the Script Writing Competition, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Creative & Concise: The script should be short, creative, and impactful. The focus should be on promoting the message of affordable and high-quality medicines available at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The best scripts will be those that effectively communicate the theme with originality and brevity.

  2. Word Limit: The maximum word limit for the script is 500 words. Keep it concise, powerful, and to the point.

  3. Theme: The script should revolve around the theme "Daam Kam, Dawai Uttam" – affordable medicines of good quality.

  4. Submission Format: Write your script on an A4 un-ruled sheet. The script must be handwritten and scanned into a PDF format for submission.

  5. No AI Tools: The use of AI tools for scriptwriting will result in automatic disqualification. The essence of the competition is to celebrate your personal creativity and understanding of the theme.

  6. Language: You can write your script in either Hindi or English.

Not only will your script contribute to the movement for affordable healthcare, but you also stand a chance to win exciting prizes! The top three winners of the competition will be rewarded with cash prizes:

  • 1st Prize: ₹10,000/-
  • 2nd Prize: ₹7,000/-
  • 3rd Prize: ₹5,000/-

How to Participate?

  1. Write Your Script: Begin by brainstorming ideas for your script based on the theme "Daam Kam, Dawai Uttam". Focus on the importance of affordable medicines and how the Jan Aushadhi Yojana is benefiting people across India.

  2. Handwrite Your Script: Write the script on an A4 un-ruled sheet. Ensure that your handwriting is clear and legible.

  3. Scan Your Script: Once completed, scan your handwritten script and save it as a PDF file.

  4. Submit Your Entry: Follow the instructions on the official platform to upload your script. Ensure your submission is before the deadline.

  5. Deadline: The last date for submission is 7th March 2025 at 11:45 PM IST.
