Themes and Categories
Participants can submit a series of three to five images that tell a compelling, mountain-related story within one of the following themes:

Sport: The physical challenges and triumphs of mountain sports.
Environment: The beauty and challenges of preserving mountain landscapes.
Natural History: The geological, ecological, and historical significance of mountains.
Culture: The traditions, communities, and stories that make mountain life unique.
Each image should be visually striking on its own while contributing to a larger, cohesive narrative.
How to Enter
The competition runs from January 1, 2025, to May 5, 2025, giving participants ample time to curate their submissions. The entry process is simple and accessible:
Select Your Best Shots – Choose three to five high-quality images that tell a compelling story.
Format Your Images – Submit digital files in JPG format, with a maximum size of 2MB per image.
Title Your Files Properly – Name your files in sequence to reflect the narrative order (e.g., "Lastname_Firstname_EssayName_1").
Write a Short Description – Provide a brief summary outlining your essay’s theme and story.
Submit Your Entry – Complete the entry form or email your submission to banffmountainphotos@banffcentre.ca.
