Video Contest on AYUSH


Ministry of AYUSH is planning to conduct a ‘Video Contest on AYUSH’ for students of Mass Communication and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha,Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy) of Government/NonGovernmentUniversities recognized by UGC (including Institutions deemed to be Universities) and Colleges affiliated to such universities, to create awareness about the strengthen and rewards of AYUSH Systems. Students are required to make videos capturing the different aspects of AYUSH, like the efforts, significant contributions, best practices, documentaries, awareness, talk shows, education, research, interviews of eminent personalities etc. The videos can be devoted to any one of the AYUSH Systems, or more than one System.

Who Can apply/compete: Students of Mass Communication and AYUSH of Government/NonGovernmentUniversities recognized by UGC (including Institutions deemed to be Universities) and Colleges affiliated to such universities can only apply. 
Process of contest:
The contest is for producing short videos in Hindi or English Only. The length of the video should be 10 minutes, 15 minutes or 30 minutes.

CED 2021 Power of Connection Art Competition for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students



Deaf and hard of hearing students throughout the world are invited to share images of original artwork portraying the theme of ‘Connection’ for display at the International Congress on the Education of the Deaf being held in Brisbane Australia in July 2021 and on the Congress website for one month before the Congress.

Artwork is to be submitted through the ICED 2021 website of the student’s original piece. Suitable media include but are not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, charcoal art, computer designed imagery, a comic strip, collage, calligraphy, sculpture or mosaic.

Vivekotsav - Online Video-based Quiz Competition for School Students


Considering the social-distancing norms mandated due to the current pandemic, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission's  decided to have a Year-long Celebration with a few On-line Competitions periodically. To begin with,  an On-line Video-based Quiz Competition based on 2 video films: ‘Swami Vivekananda & The Parliament of Religions, 1893’ and ‘Sister Nivedita Remembered’ on one of Swamiji’s foremost disciples who came to India and spent her entire life in the service of our country.
The students are required to watch the videos beforehand and appear for an On-line Test on the
prescribed date and time. The details are as follows.

National Essay Competition on Innovative Application of CSIR-CMERI Technologies for Benefit of the Masses


The CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) is the apex R&D Institute for
Mechanical Engineering. The institute has developed a number of technologies in different domains to serve the society and aspires for large scale proliferation of the technologies so as to leverage maximum benefit for the masses. This National Level Essay Competition is being organised by the Institute with the sole aim of encouraging the young generation of our country to get themselves acquainted with the R&D of CSIR-CMERI technologies and provide ideas for their inovative implementation.

Any Indian Citizen below the age of 35 years can participate in this competition (Persons connected with CMERI in any form and their close family members are not allowed to participate). The Essay Competition will be held online only; the participants will e-mail their essays as attachment to cmeri.essay@gmail.com.

Prajavani Quiz Championship



Prajavani is a leading Kannada-language broadsheet daily newspaper published in Karnataka, India. Prajavani is organising a Karntataka state level quiz for students.

Prajavani Quiz, the students’ favourite quiz championship focusing on current affairs and general knowledge, will kickstart from January 20 in Mysuru.

Daksha PU College is the associate sponsor for the event for Mysuru Zone. Due to the current pandemic, the seventh edition of PV Quiz - consisting of preliminary, zonal and grand finale rounds will be held online.

All students from class 5 to 10 can participate in the quiz. The participation is in individual capacity and not in teams. Students can take the quiz between 5 pm and 8 pm on January 20. The duration of the test is 35 minutes and students can attempt the quiz only once. The top six winners will take part in the Mysuru zonal finals scheduled for February 4.
The grand finale of winners from seven zones is scheduled for February 20 in Bengaluru. The top three winners will take home Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively and there are prizes for zonal-level winners too.

Census Video Blogging Contest - #UsForCensus



The Census of India holds the responsibility for collecting important statistics concerning the population of the country. These statistics are further analysed and used for planning and formulation of policies for Central and the State Governments and is widely used by National and International Agencies, Scholars, business people, industrialists, etc.

To spread awareness on Census with the help of people’s participation, a video crowd-sourcing competition #UsForCensus is being held on MyGov. The participants will have to submit a self-made video around the topic ‘Why Census is important’.
