Kompete invites students to participate in a unique Debate Competition with choice of two languages English & Hindi

Individual Participation

Participation from Home

Participation will be considered in 2 age groups – 10-13 years, 14-17 years. Completed age as on 31st Dec 2020 will be considered

Registrations shall be open for a limited time

Kompete reserves the right to verify authenticity of participant and submissions and expect complete co-operation from the participants and their coordinating guardians

Kompete reserves the right to publish the submissions on social media/print or any other medium for marketing and result announcements

Note: You can participate in multiple competitions of Kompete at the same time

Submission & Evaluation

• Opening statement is provided in the downloadable pdf below for both age groups in English and Hindi
• Participant needs to read and understand that statement and prepare his/her rebuttal in either English or Hindi against the statement provided
• Please note that this competition is not a live debate competition, but a recorded rebuttle
• Once the participant has prepared the rebuttal, the same needs to be expressed by the participant and take a video recording of the rebuttal
• The rebuttal video should not exceed 2 minutes excluding the introduction
• Video recording should start with participant introducing himself/herself with full name, age category, school name, city and mention “participating in Rebuttal Competition by Kompete.in”
• The introduction should be followed by the Rebuttal recording
• Single video submission only will be accepted
• Video to be sent either through wetransfer or a google drive link to the email provided below
• Submission email should bear the subject as Kompete - Rebuttal - Full Name of Participant
• Any other means of submission shall not be accepted and entry will be disqualified
• Professional Jury shall be appointed in December 2020 and the Jury list shall be shared with all participants
• All submissions will be evaluated as per age category by Professional Jury
• All submissions will be evaluated based on thought, expression, language, conviction etc
• Original thoughts and language will be the key
• All submissions to be received before the submission deadline
• The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and binding on all participants
• Result announcement dates will be communicated to all participants at an appropriate time
