The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is an educational foundation and a non profit organisation, established in 1996, based in New Delhi, India which promotes science, mathematics, general knowledge, introductory computer education and English language skills among school children in India through various Olympiad examinations
SOF organizes 6 olympiads each year as given below.
NATIONAL CYBER OLYMPIAD (NCO)
The SOF NCO is open to the students of classes I to XII
The test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The paper is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for classes 1 to 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for classes 5 to class 12.
(ii) The question paper consists of three sections:
Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Computers and Information Technology
Section-3: Achievers Section
(iii) There are separate question papers for each class.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.
NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD (NSO)
The SOF NSO is open to the students of classes I to XII
Level 1: The first level of the test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The level 1 competition is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 12.
(ii) The question paper consists of three sections:
For Class 1 to Class 10
Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Science
Section-3: Achievers Section
For Class 11 and Class 12
Section-1: Physics/Chemistry
Section-2: Achievers Section
Section-3 : Mathematics/Biology
(iii) There are separate question papers for each class.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.
INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD (IMO)
The SOF IMO is open to the students of classes I to XII
Level 1: The first level of the test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The level 1 competition is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 12.

Section-3: Everyday Mathematics

INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH OLYMPIAD (IEO)
The SOF IEO is open to the students of classes I to XII

(i) The level 1 competition is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 12.

Section-1:Word & Structure Knowledge
Section-2: Reading
Section-3: Spoken & Written Expression
Section-4: Achievers Section
(iii) There are separate question papers for each class.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.
INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SECRETARIES OLYMPIAD (ICSO)
The SOF ICSO is open to the students of classes 11 & 12
The test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours.
(i) The Olympiad is a written objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class11 & class 12.
(ii) The question paper consists of five sections:
Section-1: Quantitative Analysis Reasoning
Section-2: Economics
Section-3: Business Studies
Section-4: Accountancy
Section-5: Achievers Section
(iii) There are separate question papers for each class.
(iv) The medium of the test is English.
(v) CBSE, ICSE/ISC and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers.
(vi) The exam is conducted during school hours.
INTERNATIONAL GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OLYMPIAD (IGKO)
The SOF IGKO is open to the students of classes 1 to 10.
The SOF IGKO is an objective-type test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 10.The exam is conducted during school hours.
Registration for all the olympiads to be done through the school where the students is studying. Contact your teacher(s) for details.
EXAM SCHEDULE 221-22
Schools may select one date for conducting the Olympiad in their school. Change of date is not permitted. There are separate question paper for different dates. Schools may send registrations by 30 days before the chosen date of exam date.

REGISTRATION FEE: A charge of Rs 150* (including GST) towards cost of examination is payable by each participating student for Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, except a student suffering from any major physical disability or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defence operations.
