Opportunity for Class 12 Students: Represent India at the Global Youth Institute (GYI) 2025

Here is an exciting opportunity for Class 12 students passionate about agriculture, food security, and global food systems. The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), under its YUVA (Youth United for Visionary Agriculture) initiative, has announced a national selection drive to choose student representatives for the prestigious Global Youth Institute (GYI) 2025.


About YUVA and NAAS

YUVA is a national platform designed to nurture the next generation of leaders in agricultural sciences. It is a flagship initiative under the aegis of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), aimed at encouraging youth to engage in agricultural innovation and food security challenges.

About the Global Youth Institute (GYI)
Organized annually by the World Food Prize Foundation, GYI is a premier global event that brings together young minds from across the world. This year, it will be held in-person from October 21 to 23, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Selected students will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Interact with World Food Prize laureates and global experts

  • Participate in discussions on food security, sustainability, and agriculture

  • Explore cutting-edge innovations in agriculture

  • Build leadership skills and global perspectives

Who Can Apply?
Students currently studying in Class 12 with a keen interest in agriculture, food systems, and global challenges related to food security are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

  3. Round 3: Online Interview (scheduled for June 9–10, 2025)

Finalists will be evaluated based on their leadership qualities, commitment to food security, and potential contributions to the Global Youth Institute.
