International Day of Yoga 2025 - Yog Geet Jingle Contest

To mark the 10th Anniversary of the International Day of Yoga (IDY), the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to lend their voice and creativity to a special Yog Geet (Yoga Song/Jingle) Competition. This initiative aims to capture the essence of yoga through music and lyrics that inspire, educate, and uplift.

Yoga is more than a form of exercise—it is a philosophy of balance, self-awareness, and harmony. On this milestone occasion, the Ministry encourages citizens to compose a jingle that celebrates yoga’s contribution to physical and mental well-being, while encouraging mass participation in IDY 2025.

What is the Yog Geet / Jingle About?

Participants are invited to write and compose a jingle that is 25–30 seconds long, highlighting the theme of yoga for better health and holistic living. The jingle should:

  • Promote awareness of yoga’s benefits across all age groups.

  • Encourage families and communities to observe IDY 2025 together.

  • Emphasize yoga’s role in managing stress, improving productivity, and preventing lifestyle diseases.

  • Be composed in any of the 22 official Indian languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Whether you are a musician, lyricist, wellness advocate, or simply someone passionate about yoga and the arts, this is your chance to be heard on a national platform.

Participation Guidelines

  1. Language: The jingle must be composed in one of the official Indian languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

  2. Length: The audio must be between 25 and 30 seconds.

  3. Tone and Style: The composition should be engaging, rhythmic, and easy to follow, while maintaining relevance to the core message of yoga.

  4. Submission Format:

    • Upload a high-quality audio recording of your Yog Geet on platforms such as SoundCloud, YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox.

    • Share the public access link in the comments section of the competition page on MyGov.

    • Submit the script/lyrics as a PDF document alongside your audio entry.

  5. Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 years or older.

What Makes a Great Yog Geet?

  • Clarity and Simplicity: Lyrics that are easy to understand and sing along.

  • Cultural Appeal: Melodies that reflect the richness of India’s musical heritage.

  • Motivational Energy: A tone that inspires action and enthusiasm.

  • Health Message: A clear focus on yoga’s benefits for mind and body.
