The Free Coaching for DNT Students initiative is part of the Scheme for Economic Empowerment of De-notified Tribes (SEED), designed by the Development and Welfare Board for the De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to uplift students from De-notified Tribes (DNTs), Nomadic Tribes (NTs), and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (SNTs) by providing them with financial support for coaching to prepare for competitive exams.
Program Details:
- Coaching Fees Coverage: Up to ₹1,20,000.
- Competitive Examinations Supported:
- Engineering (e.g., JEE)
- Medical (e.g., NEET)
- Law (e.g., CLAT)
- NDA and Non-Commissioned Military Ranks
- CA-CPT
- Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
- Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
- Banking and Insurance
- Public Sector Undertakings (PSU)
- State and Central Police (Non-Gazetted Ranks including BSF and Home Guard)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to: Students belonging to De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT/NT/SNT).
- Academic Requirements:
- Current 12th graders: Must have secured 50% marks in Class 10.
- 12th pass students: Must meet the minimum qualifying marks required for the competitive exams they are applying for.
- Family Income: The annual family income of the applicants must be ₹2,50,000 or below.
- Non-Availees: Applicants should not be receiving similar coaching benefits from any other Central or State Government Scheme.
