Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai, invites schools in Mumbai to participate in its Patriotic Group Singing Competition 2024. This competition aims to promote patriotism and unity through music and is open to school groups performing in Marathi and Hindi.
Competition Details:
- Song Type: Only patriotic songs (film songs are not allowed).
- Languages: Competitions will be held in Marathi and Hindi only.
- Group Size: Each school can send one group per language. Each group must have 8 to 10 students, excluding accompanists.
- Accompanists: A maximum of 3 accompanists are allowed per group. Schools must send at least one musical instrument player.
- Time Limit: Performances should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Accompaniment: Gandhi Smarak Nidhi will provide only a harmonium.
- Attire: Students must wear their school uniforms and carry their identity cards.
Key Rules:
- No acting is allowed during the performance.
- The group should sing together; a single student leading with others in chorus is not allowed.
- A typed list of participants and a copy of the song should be submitted in the following format:

- Class
- School Name
- Language
Important Dates:
- The entry form must be submitted by Tuesday, 24th September 2024 to Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai.
- The competition will feature three prizes in each language. If fewer than 10 entries are received, the judges' decisions will be final.
