The nights are getting darker, the weather is getting colder, and the atmosphere is getting that little bit spookier. It can all mean only one thing, that Spooky Season is well and truly here.This fall, we want you to write your creepiest, scariest, spookiest stories to celebrate this Halloween season. Whether it is a horror, thriller, suspense or mystery, your story should have the reader wanting to sleep with their light on. Are you up for the challenge?


Submit your horror, thriller, mystery or suspense novel for the chance to win a publishing contract, social media spotlights, and an Inkitt certified badge for your story!

Judged by algorithm, the author will be chosen as the winner at the end of the contest based on over 1200 reader behaviours.


CONTEST TERMS
The contest will run from October 1st to November 30th 2022. Winners will be chosen no later than December 7th 2022.
Entering the contest is free; all that is required is to upload your book onto Inkitt and submit it on the contest page.
Stories can be in any language and must be original works. No plagiarism will be tolerated.
Entries must be brand new stories to Inkitt.
Stories must be written within the genre of Horror, Thriller, Mystery or Suspense. However, other genres can also be involved in the story-line.
Stories can feature werewolves but werewolves must not be the main protagonists.
Winners will be chosen by our unique algorithm based on 1200 reader behaviors.
Authors cannot enter the contest more than once with the same story, but an author may submit as many books as they want.
The minimum word count per submission is 10,000 words. There is no maximum word limit.
