INDIA SPELLING BEE -The competition
The India Spelling Bee is a unique educational activity that combines education, fun and competition. It has been designed keeping in mind the inputs gained from the past so many years of organising spelling contests across India. We have had feedback from thousands of school heads, teachers and students. These have all helped in creating a unique format for the India Spelling Bee. While it is competitive in nature,it also adds significant educational value to each student’s education.
The India Spelling Bee is also more inclusive, as students from all across India can participate irrespective of location, board, medium of education or gender. We hope to even reach out to schools in the smaller towns and cities, who may not have an opportunity to participate in such contests, generally.
The India Spelling Bee offers an opportunity to all students of classes I – IX to participate. All participants in India Spelling Bee will be awarded Certificates of Participation.
The students will participate in 5 Categories or Grades
Grade 1 : Students of Class I
Grade 2 : Students of Classes 2 & 3
Grade 3 : Students of Classes 4 & 5
Grade 4 : Students of Classes 6 & 7
Grade 5 : Students of Classes 8 & 9
The qualifiers at the School Level can then participate at the State / Regional Level. The winners at the Regional levels will participate at the National level competing for the title of National Champion and Gifts, Medals, Trophies and Certificates.
The students have to pay Rs. 145. For the Guide Book. The student has to submit his / her details at the school. This is a one-time charge for ISB 2022-23 and there are no other charges for regional or national level contest, should the student qualify. There are no charges for the school. This is the basic minimum charge and there are value added options also.
There is a one-time fee of Rs. 270 for the students who register individually, i.e. without school.
i) Participation in India Spelling Bee is through school only.
ii) Individual Registration is not available presently.
iii) Students of classes 1-9 anywhere in India can participate through their school/institute.
iv) There are no charges for the school registration.
v) There is a one time fee for the students who participate.(Click here for details).
vi) Schools have to register by any of the methods mentioned below. It takes only 2 minutes.
