All Palakkad District Chess Association under the auspices of Chess Association Kerala have the honour to invite schools in Palakkad District (any syllabus) to participate in 6th Palakkad District School Team Chess Championship-2022 to be held at PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniyamkulam on 20th November 2022, Sunday in three different categories. The championship will serves as selection event for participating in Kerala State School Team Chess Championhip-2022.
Team Categories
Category ‘A’ : Team comprises of students of LKG to 4th Standard
Category ‘B’ : Team comprises of students of LKG to 8th Standard
Category ‘C’ : Team comprises of students of LKG to 12th Standard
Eligibility
School teams comprises of 3 players can form a team to participate in each category of the tournament. Schools can send any number of teams for the event in each category.
System of Play
The championship will be conducted as per the FIDE (World Chess Federation) laws of chess with a time control of 20 Minute with 05 second increment. The number of matches will be decided according to number of teams participating.
Registration
Teams must register before 05:00 pm on 18th November 2022 and send the Registration details and Google Pay Receipt by Whatsapp No:8075076507 . Team must report at 08:30 am on 20 November 2022 with the team list duly signed by Principal/HM stating students DOB and class of study.

The entry fee will be Rs. 300/- per team. (Mode of Payment: Only Google Pay)

Prizes & State Championship Qualification
The winners of each category will get a Rolling Trophy. They also presented with a permanent trophy.
Permanent Trophies will also present to First, Runner up & Second Runner-up teams in each category.
Members of top three teams will receive medals along with certificates.
Board prize will be given first position winner in each Board.
Top three teams in each category will qualify for the state championship.
