Eligibility: This Contest is open to any Indian citizen irrespective of their age. Employees and associates of Kerala Forest Department (KFD) which includes the staff of KFD and its subsidiaries and affiliates and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Agreement to Rules: By participating, the contestant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these terms and conditions, and contestant represents and warrants that he or she meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, contestant agree to accept the decisions of KFD represented by the Chief Wildlife Warden, Kerala as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.
Contest Period: Entries for the Wildlife Short film Contest 2023 will be
accepted from September 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. IST to September 30,
2023, at 5:00 p.m. IST. Late entries will be summarily rejected
How to participate: There is no entry fee for the contest. The contestant shall participate by submitting an entry in the prescribed Registration Form duly filled in alongwith the Short film video during the Contest Period. The prescribed format of the Registration Form can be downloaded from the
website of the KFD www.forest.kerala.gov.in The Short film video submitted along with the application form and copy of the identity card showing photo and address of the contestant should meet all the Technical specifications as mentioned in clause 7 (Serial number 7) below. Entries not in the prescribed
Registration Form and not in accordance to the prescribed technical specifications will be summarily rejected. The entries, complete in all respect, should be sent to the Assistant Conservator of Forests & State Nodal Officer, Wildlife Short film Contest 2023 , Social Forestry Division, Palace Road, Chembukavu P.O, Thrissur PIN: 680020 (Phone: 0487 2320609; Mobile: 9447979144) during the Contest Period. If a contestant use any fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent any of the terms and conditions, the entry shall be disqualified. Decision of the Kerala Forest Department shall be final in this regard.
Theme of the Contest: The short film should be related to Nature and Wildlife, filmed in the State of Kerala.
Language of the Film: The language of the film shall be in English or Malayalam. No other language will be accepted.
Period of Production: Films produced during the period 2022-23 only will be accepted.
Entry limits: Each participant will be allowed to submit only one entry in this contest. If more than one entry is submitted, the entry received first alone will be considered. If a participant/contestant submits more than one entry in a single cover, the application will be rejected.
Technical specifications of the video film entry:
Length and format of the video: The length of the video file should be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes. Any camera including mobile phone can be used for filming.
Format: The video file format should be MOV or MP4.
Resolution: Full HD (1920 × 1080 p) or higher resolution.
Audio: Stereo mix or higher
