Sri Eswar's Spark 2019 - Competitions for School Students


Sri Eshwar College of Engineering conducts “SPARK”, an annual event for school students with an objective to tap their hidden talents.  School students from across Tamil Nadu from IX to XII standards participate every year and demonstrate an array of talents and gain input to compete in the fast-changing technology space. This event also provides opportunities for them to explore various courses in the higher studies spectrum and appropriate career opportunities. We take this opportunity to thank the management of your school for considering our invitation and nominating students for “SPARK” and making this event a grand success year after year.


The motto of SPARK is “To ignite the young Indian minds – to make India a Super Power”.

Eligiblity: 
Students of Class IX to XII

Zone 1: Comibatore & Nilgiris
Zone 2: Pollachi, Udumalpet, Tirupur & Other districts

Date of Event: 19 October 2019
Last date for registration: 10 October 2019

Venue: Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Coimbatore

Competitions
YOUTH PARLIAMENT CONTEST

Participation:
• 25 to 30 participants per team
Duration : 40 Mins (max)
TOPIC : IMPLEMENTATION OF NEET EXAM
Question : 10 minutes / Discussion : 20 minutes

COLOURS OF INDlA CONTEST
Participation:
• Individual Entry • Participants will have to bring all drawing materials
• Only drawing paper will be provided
TOPICS : • FUTURE INDIA  • GREEN INDIA
Time allowed : 1 hour 30 minutes

SCIENCE SPECTRUM CONTEST
Participation:
• Two members per team
• An abstract to be submitted at the time of the event
TOPICS : • ENERGY • DIGITAL INDIA • BIO-TECHNOLOGY
• ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS • PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY
• ECO-FRIENDLY PROJECTS (TOWARDS GREENER INDIA)

YOUNG ORATOR CONTEST
Participation:
• Individual entries • Prelims - 2 Mins
• 5 students will be selected for final round • Final - 4 mins
TOPIC : INFLUENCE OF MOBILE PHONES ON CHILDREN

VIVATHA MEDAI CONTEST
Participation:
• Individual entry • 8 students will be selected for

final round • Preliminary round : Topic will be given on the spot.

VEGETABLE CARVING CONTEST
Participation:
• Individual entries • Duration - 2 hrs
• Participants should bring their own vegetables and carving equipments

SINGING CONTEST
Individual entries - two students per school
Prelims - 2 mins
5 students will be selected for finals
Final 4 mins

Fun games are there on the venue

Sri Eshwar College of Engineering is organising 1st  District Level Basketball, Volleyball & Chess Tournament (for School boys and girls) for the Sri Eshwar Trophy.
Date: 18-19  October 2019

This promotion project is to give and opportunity for schools to provide their players invaluable tournament experience under ideal playing conditions.
The tournament will be conducted on a knockout basis. The deision of the Tournament Commistte on all points not covered above will be final.
The entry with the list of players in proper letter head signed by the Head of the Institution must reach the Secretary on or before 10 October 2019.
