Fashion Colloquium 2020, will formally launch the Third series of Fashion Colloquia recognizing the importance of a ‘Responsible’ future. It will be hosted by the ARCH College of Design & Business in Jaipur. Following these forerunning events, the Fashion Colloquia in Jaipur will bring forward themes with particular relevance to the specific location. It will allow varied different sets of contributions to be added and explored, within a responsible and interdisciplinary frame and context in order to invest in a shared & sustainable future for fashion.

Fashion Design Competition
Students are invited to submit one full ensemble (Menswear, Women’s wear, Unisex) inspired by the following themes:
a) Indian Drapes and Silhouettes
Participants are required to use only textiles (woven/ non-woven/ knits) from natural fibers/ fabrics. (neutral colour OR shades of coral / madder Red)
b) Indian Traditional Textiles (Handloom & Handcrafted)
Participants are required to use only Indian Handcrafted Textiles for fabrication.
A panel of experts will judge submitted entries, and the selected work will be curated and exhibited as part of the Fashion Colloquia 2020 Exhibition/Fashion Show.
Guidelines for the Competition
Completed application form including 300-word concept note and description of the outfit
No more than 5 photos of outfit – JPEG images labelled with student name (medium resolution for initial entry; and on selection, high resolution)
Mood board of concept images.
All the files should be submitted via email. (PDF format)
Entrants may be artists, designers, students and practitioners, over 18 years old, individually or in partnership or sponsored.
Provide complete contact information (Name of the designer, affiliation, email address, phone number).
On acceptance, the Participant will have to travel to Jaipur to display their exhibit/ installation during the colloquium. Participants will bear their travel cost.
Selected Participants will not be charged the conference registration fees.
