The Regional Science Centre and Planetarium is organising a mega multi-institutional scientific event titled ‘Malabar STEM Fair 2023’ during February 27 & 28, 2023.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) forms the core of all innovations which in turn lead towards scientific and technical solutions for some of our societal problems. Malabar STEM fair provides a platform to all students studying in Classes 5 to 12 to showcase their germinated ideas in form of a product or a prototype design with validation studies on samples or inferences drawn through studies using scientific methods and hypothesis verification which provides solutions to problems which are tangible, reliable and feasible in scientific, technical and economic terms. Further students can exhibit projects which demonstrate some conceptual or application aspects of STEM.
We invite all schools to send a maximum of three teams of four students each in the class range of 5 – 12 to participate in the STEM Fair. In this fair the students (either individually or in a team of maximum four) will present their project which can be a working artifact or gadget developed by them and which provides an innovative solution to a particular or class of problems; a model which demonstrates a particular natural phenomenon or a mathematical truth or conjecture or the findings of a scientific investigatory study which enhances our knowledge with respect to some aspect of STEM.
Further, as a part of the fair, there will be expert lectures, exciting challenges and contests and short workshops.
The competitions and exhibitions are open for all schools as mentioned above. There will be no registration fee.
