National Debate Competition on Internet Freedom


Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, New Delhi is organising a National Level Debate Contest on Internet Freedom

Eligibility
Students enrolled in any UG/PG/PhD course from any university.

GUIDELINES
i. Conventional Debate with four rounds
ii. Students are invited in a team of two 
iii. Cross university teams are permitted
iv.    Detailed Rulebook will be shared with all the Registrants

SUB-THEMES FOR THE ROUNDS
i. Regulation of content on OTT & other online platforms
ii. Privacy & National Security Debate under the PDP Bill, 2019
iii. Free Speech v. Fake News
iv. Safe Harbour & Online Safety

REGISTRATION
i. Fee Rs. 200 per team
ii. Last date for registration: 23rd February 2021


AWARDS
Best Team: Rs. 25,000 | Second Best Team: Rs. 15,000 | Best Speaker: Rs. 15,000 | Second Best Speaker: Rs. 10,000

Winners shall also get a one-month internship opportunity with a reputed civil society organisation working on internet freedom & digital rights.
