CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES ON STUDENTS’ PERSPECTIVES ON TEACHING AND LEARNING

CBSE launches the next Expression Series on the theme of Students’ Perspectives on Teaching
and Learning w.e.f. 6th February, 2021 to 28th February, 2021. The details are as follows: 

Topics and Medium:

CATEGORY MEDIUM (Any one) #TOPIC (Any one)

Primary ( 3rd to 5th )

 Painting/ Drawing/

 Slogan/ Poetry (up to 100 words)/ Cartoon Strip/ Meme · Which learning activities do you enjoy the most in your school and why? · Which is your favourite language and would you like to learn all subjects in that language? Why? · Which play equipment in your school do you find most attractive to play with? · Which outdoor activities and indoor games do you like the best and why? · Which teacher is your favourite and why? · Write about your idea of a happy school. · Write about how did you continue to learn during the closure of schools due to COVID -19.

Middle ( 6 th to 8th )

Painting/ Drawing
Slogan / Poetry(up to 100 words)/ Cartoon Strip/ Meme

·         What do you think is the role of your school in ensuring health and physical fitness o students?

·         Describe a toy/game that made you learn a topic in any subject with ease.

·         As a student, which vocational crafts, would you like to learn? Why? (example - pottery, carpentry, tailoring, gardening, etc. Students can name any vocational craft aside from these as well)

·         If you are asked to teach Maths to your class, how will you teach this subject? Pick any one topic from your Maths syllabus and write about how you will teach it.
If you are asked to teach Science to your class, how will you teach this subject? Pick any one topic from your Science syllabus and write about how you will teach it.

·         If you are asked to teach Language as a subject to your class, how will you teach this subject? Pick any one topic from your Language syllabus and write about how you will teach it.

·         Which books you would like to add in your school library or you would like to read?

·         Write about your five expectations from your teachers.

·         Write about what is your idea of a happy school where learning is an engaging and joyful activity.

Secondary & Sr. Secondary (9 th &12th )

 Painting/ Drawing

 Slogan / Poetry (up to 150 words)/ Cartoon Strip/ Meme

 What if you were made the Maths teacher of your class? How will you teach this subject?

If you are made the Science teacher of your class, how will you teach this Subject?

If you are made the Language teacher of your class, how will you teach this Subject/

If you were made the History teacher of your class, how will you teach this subject?

Describe a toy/ game/board game/ card game/puzzles/ mechanical toy or game that made you learn a topic in any subject with ease.

If you were the Principal of your school how would you introduce critical thinking and problem solving skills in your students?

What changes in the Board exams will help you feel more relaxed before and during the exams?

What according to you should be the role of your school in mental health and well-being of all students?

 Write about your idea of a happy school where learning is an engaging and joyful activity.

Language: Entries can be submitted in Hindi or English. 

Modalities of Conducting Expression Series: 

Conduct of Expression Series at the School Level:
Schools shall themselves conduct the Expression Series on the above topics from 6 th February to 18 th February, 2021.Information of the Expression Series should be given to all students, through any means of communication adopted by schools since March 2020. 
For entries, Participants can prepare a sheet as per the format given in Annexure - I or use a sheet with all details as given in Annexure - I. Details of participant must be written on each sheet used for submitting the entry.
Schools may invite entries from students through e-mail ID or any mode convenient to them. 
 After collecting the entries, schools shall evaluate them and shortlist one entry per category for onward submission to CBSE. Evaluation mechanism can be devised by schools themselves. 

Submission of Shortlisted Entries by Schools to CBSE: 
Schools can submit the shortlisted entries from 16th February to 1st March 2021 , as and when ready, using an android phone through CBSE Expression Series App available at Google Playstore. For guidelines of the process of submission, please see Annexure - II. 
Each participant will get an online certificate of participation at his/her registered email ID after the successful submission of entry. 
The decision of result given by the evaluation committee shall be final
