Design a Digital Charkha

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is celebrating the 150th birth years of Mahatma Gandhi with great fervour and spirit from 2nd October 2019 – 2nd October 2020.

To honour the Mahatma, it is desired to construct a ‘Digital Charkha’, a grand art installation, which will be placed at MeitY entrance. Therefore, a contest is being launched on MyGov Platform to invite creative designs of a “Digital Charkha”.

The Digital Charkha design should be an amalgamation of the traditional charkha used by Gandhi ji with a digital component, thus portraying that at the core of Digital India lies embedded the Gandhian principles of equality, unity, corruption free and empowerment of ordinary citizens. These principles also resonate with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for a NEW DIGITAL INDIA that promises to deliver e-Governance services as basic fundamental rights to each and every citizen of the country.

Last date of submission of entries is 19th February, 2020.
