CMS College of Engineering and Technology Coimbatore is organising various competitions for students of Class IX to XII.

                        RULES FOR THE EVENTS
1. FINDING YOUNG SCIENTIST
MAX 6 TEAMS (HS-3/ HSS -3) [3 Members per Team
Project can be submitted in one of the following four catergories
1. Biological & Ecological Science
2. Chemical , Physical & Mathematical Sciences
3. Social & Behavoiral Sciences
. Current Technologies

. Explains the problem and how it impacts them
. Describe a new innovation or solution that could impact or solve the problem
. Explains the Science , Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics behind their innovation
.Illustrates how their innovation could address the everyday problem
2             WEALTH OUT OF WASTE
  MAX 4 TEAMS (HS-2/HSS-20 [ Members per Team]
. Effort and creativity are important
.ial  should be brought by the participants
 is one hour competition
 Creates awatreness among youth how to reduce, reuse and recycle
. Mterails should be eco-friendly
. Judging criteria : Presentation , Creativity , Concept and the final look of the product.
3. DRAWING
 MAX 12 MEMBERS [ Pencil Drawing HS-3/HSS-3, Painting HS-3/HSS-3]
    TOPIC : ON SPOT [ Charts will be provided]
. Acceptable tools of drawing / painting include pencil, water color, etc.
.Photographs,wires and other 3D objects are not acceptable.
.Tha drawing / painting must not include words or slogans.
.Participant Name & School's name and address must be clearly mentioned on the back of poster in Englis Language
.No text (including thene title,name etc ) should be written on front of the poster
4 ESSAY WRITING
MAX 6 MEMBERS [English HS-2/HSS-2, Malayalam HS-2/HSS-2 7 Tamil HSS-2]
 TOPIC: ON SPOT [ Content will be provided]
.Maximam time limit-30 Minutes.
. Sheets will be provided to participants to write. Participants need to carry their pen or any other stationary.
Participants need to ensure that they use good diction with original and interting idea.
.They must also ensure the content of essay should be versed with topic and should be logically organized and written in clear words.Include a purposeful conclusion.
.Quotations should be acknowledged in the reference.
5. DEBATE
  MAX 4 TEAMS [ English HS-1/HSS-1, Malayalam HS-1/HSS-1] 4 Members per team
 TOPIC:
. Each team will have 5 Minutes to prepare before speech.
.Duration of a speaker should be 5 Minutes or7 Minutes max
.Questions should be primanly focused on arguments developed in speech of your opponent.
.Once the questioning has begun, neither the questioner nor his opponet may consult colleague.
. Avoid Repetition of points.
6. BEST TEAM ( ACTIVITY BASED ON TEAM WORK & MARKETING)
   MAX 4 TEAMS [HS-2/HSS-2] 4 Members per Team
 RULES:
. Each team will get 5 Minutes to discuss on the topic.
. Time limit for every team would be 15 minutes
7. BUSINESS PLAN ( EXCLUSIVE FOR 10TH , +1 AND +2)
  MAX 4 TEAMS [HS -2 /HSS-2] 6 Members per Team
 RULES:
 Teams have to bring their own props
 A team can have 8-10 members.
Time limit for every team would be 10 minutes ( Including setup and the performance both)
 Theme for fashio show "SEASONS" ( spring , summer,autumn, wintr) open to the team
 Should carry their tracks in C.D ,pen drive etc.
Teams will be judged on costumes, theme, walking stance and attitude.
 Decision of judges will be final and binding.
 9. DANCE (GROUP)
 MAX 4 TEAMS [HS-2/HSS-2] Maximum 6 Members per Team
 Teams have to bring their own props.
Time limit for every team would be final and binding.
 Should carry their tracks in C.D ,pen drive etc.
