Global Vikas Trust (GVT), an NGO is working on an aggressive non political campaign called UNGLI DIKHA for increasing informed voter participation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. It is headed by social activist Mayank Gandhi (www.mayankgandhi.in) and team.
The Ungli Dikha competition (UDC) is to unleash crowd creativity to generate viral films that will be propagated on social media, mostly on Whatsapp. These movies will encourage more people to vote.
The films can be in either of these three categories - Humor, Music and Dance.
Any number of entries is allowed.
These can be amateur movies, shot on a mobile too.
Content will be king. Quality of film is not an important criteria. (500 mb max size)
Short film should drive people towards the booth on election day.
Ideally these short films should be less than 60 seconds.
No reference, promotion or denigration of any party, govt, religion, caste nor individual will be accepted.
Once a film is submitted, it will become the property of GVT and all rights will be with GVT to be used, edited etc for social cause. GVT will not use any of the movies that it receives for commercial purposes. Film can be in any Indian language or English.

A jury of people from different fields will select the top 5 movies and give it prizes. The rest of the movie makers will get participation certificates.
Prizes
First prize will be Rs 1,00,000. Second and third prizes will be Rs 25,000 and two other prizes of Rs 10,000 will be paid to the best five entries, by cheque.
Last date of entry is 20th April 2019.
On website www.unglidikha.com - you can find some examples of films made by some of the volunteers (finger breaking, mark yahan hai, rap dance). You may also find a tune (dance tune) that can be used for dancing (or you can use any other tune). You can use our logo that is also available on the website. These are just guidelines. Please use your own creativity.
Once submitted, your video will be circulated to get likes.
