Globe Science and Environment Olympiad 2019

Globe Science & Environment Olympiad is an initiative taken by Indian Environmental Society whose goal is to promote STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math). The Olympiad is designed to encourage students to explore, discover, and learn more about STEM education. The main aim of Globe Science & Environment Olympiad is to promote a career in STEM and to help all students reach higher level of achievement in “STEM education” and “STEM jobs”. It provides a great opportunity to compare educational methods and exchange experiences at international levels.

GSEO is one of highly emerging concepts among young generation. Globe Science & Environment Olympiad being one of the unique and innovative platforms also serves an opportunity to the students by providing them the Knowledge about STEM Studies.

GSEO Exam

 Globe Science and environment Olympiad (GSEO) will be conducted manually through OMR Sheets and (MCQ) format in your school premises only.
 Admit Card / Roll no. will be provided to each student after submitting the GSEO examination fee to school authorities.
Practice Book will be provided to the student for GLOBE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD worth Rs. 50/- only.
Each book will have two sections:

• Science
• Environmental Science.

MCQ based examination paper contains:-

• 50 questions for 1 mark each.
• 25 questions based on Science as per CBSE / ICSE syllabus.
• 25 questions based on Environmental Science as per CBSE Syllabus •
• There will be No Negative marking

Schools Requirements

GSEO Examination will be conducted in participating schools premises only, under the supervision of the GSEO Coordinators / school teachers. Students have to reach the examination hall 15 minutes before the commencement of examination. The schools have to ensure that on the day of the GSEO examination, exam centre is duly maintained.

GSEO is for the students from class VI – XII and is differentiated as per level

Date of Exam

GSEO Exam will be held from 21st to 22nd November, 2019

Prize & Awards

•  1st Olympiad rank holder up to 12th class shall be awarded with a Tablet along with Gold medal at all India basis.
•  2nd Olympiad rank holder up to 12th class shall be awarded with a Kindle Paper white along with Silver medal at all India basis.
• 3rd Olympiad rank holder up to 12th class shall be awarded with a Smart Phone along with bronze medal at all India basis.
• Consolation Prize holder up to 12th class shall be awarded with a Wrist watch at all India basis.
•  All the qualifying participants shall be awarded with the participation Certificates reflecting their Olympiad Grades.
