Commemorating Globally The 125th Anniversary Of The Chicago Addresses Of Swami Vivekananda
Dear Youth, One hundred and twenty five years ago on 11 September 1893, Swami Vivekananda delivered his first address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago. The speech electrified the audience and drew the attention of the entire world towards India. In fact, it was only after this glorious speech that Indians and Indian culture came to be respected all over the world. His lectures, letters, and conversations have guided and inspired people across the world for the past 125 years.
Even today there are several original things that we can learn from the life and literature of Swami Vivekananda. Ramakrishna Math invite you all to produce short film based on Vivekananda’s message on one or more of the following six themes and win prizes.

Swami Vivekananda: “We want that energy, that love of independence, that spirit of self-reliance, that immovable fortitude, that dexterity in action, that bond of unity of purpose, that thirst for improvement.”
2 THE PATRIOTISM THAT INDIA NEEDS TODAY
Swami Vivekananda: “Three things are necessary to make every man great, every nation great: 1. Conviction of the powers of goodness, 2. Absence of jealously and suspicion, 3. Helping all who are trying to be and do good.”
3 THE INNER STRENGTH OF WOMANHOOD

6 GODLINESS THROUGH NURTURING AND PROTECTING NATURE
Swami Vivekananda: Our ancient wisdom propagated environmental protection and sustenance. Today we see the reverse happening in every sphere of life. It’s time for us to heed Swami Vivekananda’s clarion call to “take responsibilities on our shoulders” by scripting the wisdom of our country to make this planet sustainable for future generations.

Participants' age group: 18 to 35 years

Language: Any Indian Language/English/Silent
Subtitles: For films in Indian languages, subtitles must be attached as .srt files
Guidelines
All film entries should be original & creative
Multiple submissions per person allowed
Film can be a combination of live action (or) animation in their creation
The video/audio should not have any Copyright or IP violations
The film should have not been submitted, accepted (or) published elsewhere prior to this competition
Once a film is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn from the contest
All short films must be in digital format. No DVDs, VHS tapes or any physical format will be accepted
After a short film is entered, no corrected version of the videos can be made by the Entrant
All films should adhere to the below guidelines as prescribed by Central Film Certification Body
