EduJunior Short Story Writing Competition 2026

Every great author starts with a single story. The EduJunior Short Story Writing Competition 2026 invites young writers aged 7 to 18 years from India and around the world to unleash their imagination and craft compelling stories that captivate readers. 

This competition is a celebration of creativity, originality, and the power of storytelling.


๐Ÿง’ 1. Eligibility

  • Open to students aged 7 to 18 years

  • Participation is open to students from India and other countries

  • Only one entry per participant

  • Proof of age is mandatory


✍️ 2. Language & Theme

  • Stories must be written only in English

  • Open theme / genre / topic – participants are free to choose any genre

  • Illustrations, drawings, photographs, or graphics are not allowed

Let your imagination explore fantasy, mystery, adventure, science fiction, realistic fiction, inspirational themes, or any genre of your choice!

๐Ÿ“ 5. Submission Format

  • Stories must be typed and submitted as a Microsoft Word file (.doc / .docx)

  • Upload your file to Google Drive or Dropbox

  • Paste the file link in the submission form received via email or WhatsApp after registration

  • Font: Times New Roman or Arial

  • Font Size: 12

  • Use bold or italics sparingly

  • Handwritten submissions are not accepted

  • Last Date to Submit: 5 May 2026

At the end of your document, include:

  • Full Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Category

  • School Name


๐Ÿชช 7. Proof of Age (Mandatory)

Upload any one of the following:

  • Birth Certificate

  • School ID Card

  • Bonafide Certificate from School

  • Any official age proof

⚠️ Entries without valid proof of age will be automatically disqualified.


๐Ÿšซ 8. Originality & Plagiarism Policy

  • The story must be original and unpublished

  • Any copied content (full or partial) will result in disqualification

  • All entries will undergo a plagiarism check

  • AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly not allowed

We encourage authentic voices and genuine creativity.

  1. Fill the registration form available on the EduJunior website

  2. Complete the payment

  3. Receive the submission form via email after payment

  4. Upload your story before the deadline

Stories will be evaluated based on:

  • Originality

  • Creativity & imagination

  • Plot & theme development

  • Language & writing style

  • Overall presentation

The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
