EduJunior Online Innovation Competition

Theme: Innovate for a Better Tomorrow

Are you ready to turn your ideas into impact? The Innovation Contest 2026 invites young thinkers, problem-solvers, and change-makers to design creative solutions that can build a brighter, smarter, and more sustainable future.

Under the theme “Innovate for a Better Tomorrow,” participants are encouraged to identify real-world challenges and develop innovative ideas that improve lives, communities, and the planet.


Eligibility
The competition is open to students enrolled in Grade 1 through Grade 12 worldwide. Participants must obtain prior permission from their parents, legal guardians, or teachers before registering for the competition.

Innovation Project Specifications
Each participant or group may submit only one innovation project.
Projects must be original ideas created by the student(s).
The project should identify a real-life problem and present a clear, age-appropriate solution.
Content must not violate any religious, linguistic, political, or social sentiments.
Upper-grade students (Grades 7–12) are encouraged to present well-researched, logical, and impact-driven solutions.
Projects may be presented in English or Hindi. (Optional subtitles may be added if required.)

Accepted Project Formats
Participants may submit any one of the following:
Idea with a clear problem–solution explanation
Physical or digital model/prototype (working or non-working)
App, game, or product concept (sketches, wireframes, or demo allowed)

Submission Requirements
Record a 3–5 minute video explaining or demonstrating the innovation.
Upload the video to any one platform: YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Instagram, etc.
Ensure the video link has viewing access enabled.
Tag #EduJunior if posting on social media (Not Mandatory).
After registration, participants will receive the submission link via WhatsApp & Email.
Submit the video link through the provided form on or before March 31st, 2026.

Entry Fee and Registration

1. Solo Participation (Individual Entry)
Entry Fee: ₹399 INR per participant
Applicable for students participating individually (Solo Entry)
One student → One project

2. Team Participation (Group Entry)
Entry Fee: ₹349 INR per participant
Applicable for group entries (2 to 4 students per team)
Each team submits one common innovation project

3. International Participation (Solo & Group Entry)
Entry Fee: $10 USD per participant (Solo Entry - One Student – One Project)
Entry Fee: $8 USD per participant ( Group Entry )
Applicable for group entries (2 to 4 students per team)
Each team submits one common innovation project

Evaluation Criteria
All entries will be evaluated using a marks-based system (Out of 100 Marks).

Projects will be judged on:
Problem Identification & Understanding – 20 Marks
Innovation & Creativity – 25 Marks
Feasibility & Practicality of the Solution – 20 Marks
Presentation & Communication (Video Explanation) – 20 Marks
Impact & Value (Social / Environmental / Educational) – 15 Marks
Total: 100 Marks
For group entries, judges may also consider teamwork, collaboration, and contribution of members within the above criteria.
The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

Result Classification (Based on Marks)
95–100 Marks: Winner
85–94 Marks: Runner-Up
76–84 Marks: Outstanding Performer
75 & Below 75 Marks: Online Certificate of Participation
Note: Each Category has one winner, one runner up & Maximum 5 Outstanding Performer

Application Process

Step 1: Registration
Fill out the online registration form
Select category and participation mode (Solo / Group)
Ensure all details are filled accurately
Receive payment receipt and submission link via email
Registration closes on March 25th, 2026.

Step 2: Project Preparation & Submission
Select a real-life problem aligned with the theme
Prepare the innovation project
Record a 3–5 minute explanation video covering:
The problem
The proposed solution
Expected impact
Upload and submit the video link by March 31st, 2026

Step 3: Evaluation & Awards
Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges
Winners, Runners-Up, and Outstanding Performers will be announced
Results will be shared via WhatsApp, and Website

Theme & Categories (Grade-wise)

Grades 1–2
Focus: Simple ideas to improve everyday life
Examples:
Clean classrooms
Remembering belongings
Caring for plants or pets

Grades 3–4
Focus: Practical solutions for home, school, or nature
Examples:
Organizing school bags
Saving water or electricity
Reducing waste

Grades 5–6
Focus: Structured ideas or basic models
Examples:
Homework reminder systems
Simple safety tools
Low-cost recycling ideas

Grades 7–9
Focus: Community and environmental challenges
Examples:
Safer school zones
Clean parks
Smart waste management

Grades 10–12
Focus: Future-oriented and impact-driven innovations
Examples:
EdTech tools
Health or safety solutions
Climate action ideas
Apps or startup concepts
Participants may choose any relevant problem under the theme.

Prizes and Honors

Solo Entries (Per Category)
Winner: INR 1500 + Trophy + Gold Medal + Hard Copy Certificate
Runner-Up: INR 1000 + Gold Medal + Hard Copy Certificate
Outstanding Performer: Silver Medal + Hard Copy Certificate

Group Entries (Per Category)
Winning Group: INR 1500 (Shared) + One Trophy (shared) + Gold Medals & Certificates for each member
Group Runner-Up: INR 1000 (Shared) + Gold Medals & Certificates for each member
Outstanding Group Performance: Silver Medals & Certificates for each member

Technical Requirements
Video Quality: Minimum 720p resolution
Audio Quality: Clear voice, minimal background noise
Background: Clean and distraction-free environment
Equipment: Smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer with camera
Internet: Stable connection for video upload
