The Kids Rapid Chess Championship by Malsar is a fantastic way for children to experience the thrill of competitive chess while enhancing their cognitive skills. Hosted on the Lichess platform, this event is open to kids of varying age groups and skill levels. The goal of this championship is to introduce children to chess early, helping them build critical thinking and problem-solving skills through exciting and rapid-paced games.
Championship Details:
- Date: 10th May 2025, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM IST
- Location: Online (Lichess platform)
- Categories:
- Category 1: Age 4-6 Years
- Category 2: Age 7-10 Years
- Category 3: Age 11-15 Years
- Format:
- Rapid rated games for 1 hour with a 10-minute time limit per game.
- Continuous back-to-back games with 1-minute downtime between each game.
- Scoring: Win = 2 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.
- The top 3 scorers in each category after 1 hour will be crowned the winners.
Participants will be paired based on their rankings and will compete against others in their category. It’s an intense but exciting battle of minds, and the top scorers will take home medals and certificates.

- Join the Championship: On 10th May 2025, be ready to compete starting at 11:00 AM IST.
