Eastern India Science Fair 2024 for School Students

The Eastern India Science Fair (EISF) is an annualinterstate level competitive event that aims to promote creativity & innovation in our youth. It involves school students & guide teachers from the States and Union Territories of Eastern India. They conceive ideas, develop science projects and innovative prototype models using low-cost materials and local resources thataims to provide indigenous and practical technological solutions to society’s basic needs or problems.



Date: January 09 -12, 2024

Venue: Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (A Unit of National Council of Science Museums); 19 A, Gurusaday Road. Kolkata – 700 019
Major Activities: 1. Interstate Science Exhibition for selected participants from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim and West Bengal.
2. Quiz Contest , Meet the Scientists, Science Shows and Educational Tour for the participants.

Eligibility of participants 
School Students studying up to class XII and the Student-members of Science Clubs can participate in the Eastern India Science Fair (EISF) . School students can participate individually or in a group of maximum two students with models or projects fabricated by them. Student-members of any Science Club can participate only in individual category with model/project in this Science Fair. The participating states can depute participants according to the following guidelines:
Number of students participating with models / projects for Exhibition – maximum 60% of the total number of state-participants. b) Number of Teachers / Officers / Guides / Escorts – maximum 20% of the total number of stateparticipants. c) Total number of participants from the States of Eastern India would be limited as: Odisha – 50 West Bengal – 50 Bihar – 50 Jharkhand – 50 Sikkim – 25 Andaman & Nicobar Islands –
