Since 1875, India Meteorological Department is the National Meteorological Service of the country and the principal government agency in all matters relating to meteorology and allied subjects. The department is building weather-ready nation, managing all aspects of weather and climate monitoring, forecasting and warning and continually rendering one of the most fundamental and widely used services to the nation through many diversified activities.
To commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence and as a part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the India Meteorological Department is conducting a quiz competition on various aspects of weather and climate sciences.

Terms and Conditions
a) This initiative is taken by India Meteorological Department, a Department under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, as a part of the 75 years of India’s Independence “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”
b) The Quiz is accessible through the “Mygov.in” platform.
c) The Contest will be available from its launch on 18th October-2021 to 18th November 2021.
d) First three Winners will get exciting Prizes.
e) The quiz contains 10 questions to be answered in 5 minutes.
f) The selection of Winners will be on the basis of correct answers in the fastest time.
g) All the participants will get a participation E-certificate.
h) The participants can skip a question if found tough and answer it later within the given time limit.
i) There will not be negative marking for wrong answers.
j) The quiz will start as soon the participant clicks on the ‘Start Quiz’ button.
k) Participants can take part in the quiz only once.
l) Organizers will not be responsible for entries that are lost, are late or incomplete, or have not been transmitted due to computer error or any other error beyond the organizer’s reasonable control.
m) The Participant shall abide by all the rules and regulations of participating in the Quiz Contest.
n) Organizers reserve all rights to disqualify or refuse participation to any participant if they deem participation or association of any participant which is detrimental to the Quiz or the Organizers or partners of the Quiz. The registrations shall be void if the information received by the Organizers is illegible, incomplete, damaged, false, or erroneous.
o) India Meteorological Department employees and their relatives are debarred from participating in this quiz.
p) Organizer’s decision on the Quiz shall be final and binding no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
q) By participating in the Quiz Contest, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by the above Terms and Conditions.
r) These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Indian Judiciary.
