National Safety Science Quiz 2015

National Council of Science Museums, a premier institution involved in popularizing science through informal mode, in association with UL- Underwriters Laboratory, a premier Safety Science Company is organizing the National Safety Science Quiz 2015(NSSQ 2015) for school students during August-October 2015.

This is the second time that a quiz on Safety Science is being conducted at a national level and is aimed to have an immense educational and experiential impact.

This unique quiz will revolve around the theme Safety Science in everyday life.

Registration opens on 25th June, 2015 and closes on 31st July, 2015.

Prize Structure
Ist Prize: Rs.50, 000/- One team
(Rs.25, 000/- per Student) - 2 nos.

IInd Prize: Rs. 30,000/-One team
(Rs.15, 000/- per Student) - 2 nos.

IIIrd Prize: Rs.20,000/- One team
(Rs.10,000/- per Student) - 2 nos.

Consolation Prize: Rs.20,000/-Two teams
(Rs.5,000/- per student) - 4 nos.

Rules for Registration:
Registration process will be online only.
Registration can be done only by schools. Students are not allowed to register individually.
Students currently studying in class IX to XII are only allowed to participate.
A school can register up to a maximum of 20 students only once.
The registration will open on Thursday the 25th June 2015 and close on Friday, the 31st July, 2015. The entries shall be restricted to 1000 students per city for the written test and shall be on first come first serve basis. However, registration may be pre-closed once 7000 students are registered.

Submission of the Registration Form:
The printed registration form is to be signed by the Head of the Institution and forwarded to the address mentioned below by August 7, 2015 :

Admit Card: The National Safety Science Quiz 2015 Admit card will be available after August 17, 2015. The student has to get a signed copy of the admit card for the written test.

Qualifier : Written test at 7 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Guwahati
Date & time – 23 August 2015 at 11 am (simultaneously at all 7 centers)

Grand Finale – To be held at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bangalore
Date – 29 – 31 October 2015
