All the competitions will be conducted in Dr. Abdul Kalam Science Centre and Planetarium, Lawspet, Puducherry. 
* Attractive Prizes will be given to the winners. * The winners name will be notified through email and hosted in department website. Guidelines of the contest: ✓ The drawing must be drawn in A4 size. A4 size chart will be provided. ✓ Colouring material must be brought by the student. Colouring shall be in any medium. ✓ The copyright of drawing remains with the participant. However, by entering the competition, the participant grant Puducherry Climate Change Cell (PCCC) the right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast their drawing. ✓ Students should bring their school ID card during registration.

The slogan should not have any negative connotations pointing out individual, organization, brand name, religion, country etc., 
It should be a motivating and positive quote or sentence that encourages awareness among citizens regarding any aspect of cyber security.

The film/video should: 1) Not depict any horror/conflicts  2) Not harm any living objects
RIGHT TO SCREEN: The participants grant the organizers (www.staysafeonline.in) the non-exclusive rights to screen their film/video entry on their respective websites, promoted through social media platforms for awareness creation and other associated screenings.
The reels/shorts videos may be in their original language, but MUST be subtitled in ENGLISH.
The reels/shorts videos must not represent any particular individual, organization, or brand name and must not depict any religious theme.
Reels not following above guidelines will be rejected.

This is a short film competition and hence ONLY Short Films should be submitted NO DOCUMENTARIES. The entries can be short live action / digital animation films too on the thematic areas.
DURATION for Short Film: The film shall not be more than 5 mins including the beginning and end credits.
FORMAT: The films/videos may be shot in MPEG4 or AVI format. The recommended ratios are: 16:9 / 16:9 Full Height Anamorphic – in SDV / HDV.

Stay Safe Online Quiz Competition

India has taken over the Presidency of the G20 for one year from 01 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing economies. It comprises of 19 countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, USA) and the European Union (EU). Collectively, the G20 accounts for 85% of global GDP, 75% of international trade and two-thirds of the world population, making it the premier forum for international economic cooperation.


During India’s presidency of G20, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is running a campaign titled ‘Stay Safe Online’ aimed at creating awareness among citizens including specially-abled persons to stay safe in an online world on the widespread use of social media platforms and rapid adoption of digital payments. As India is making significant efforts towards becoming a trillion-dollar digital economy, the campaign focuses on sensitizing users of all ages about online risk & safety measures and promoting cyber hygiene thereby reinforcing the cyber safety of citizens.

Citizens of all age groups, covering rural and urban areas, with special emphasis on children, students, women, teachers, faculty, senior citizens, specially-abled persons, officials of Central & State Governments etc. are invited to participate in the Stay Safe Online campaign.

Online Contest on Success Stories on Solution to Plastic Pollution

ICMR-NIREH is conducting an online contest on “Success stories on solutions to plastic pollution” as a part of World Environment Day, 2023 celebration. Any Indian nationals above 18 years of age are eligible to participate in the contest. Interested participants should submit their stories online using the given link. Contest will be open from May 1 st to May 31st , 2023. Results will be published on the official website.


Guidelines
1) Only one entry per person
2) Participants can submit their stories relevant to the theme in written format (only as PDF attachment of 5-10 MB) in the google form
3) Stories should focus on real life events that have led to the development of innovative solutions for plastic waste pollution or significant change in community behavior. You can submit your own experience about such solutions in which you have played a major role or in which you have contributed substantially.
4) Individuals, municipal or other urban local bodies, Panchayats, NGOs, self-help groups, etc. working in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.
5) Submissions can be either in English or Hindi
6) Submission should within a word limit of 800-1000 and should not include more than 4 photos

7) Judgment of the selection committee will be deemed final and no queries will be considered whatsoever
8) If the solutions/ideas you give in the contest are used for any purposes, you will be duly acknowledged


Eligibility:
Open to all Indian nationals above 18 years of age, including Individuals, municipal or
other urban local bodies, Panchayats, NGOs, self-help groups, etc.

Environment Day Contests

RAJASTHAN ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY CONSERVATION CENTER will host WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY- 5TH edition on the 4th and 5th of June 2023 at CLARK


 World Environment Day will be the largest event in Rajasthan's history, featuring a variety of environmental activities to promote rural and urban environmental education. The event will be a successfully conducted with the involvement of the Rajasthan government and other private institutions. The event has more than 5000 attendees. The ceremony will be followed by a conference and power point presentations by famous environmentalists and ministers.

• Scholars from all prestigious universities will be invited to share their work on environmental issues. In this programme, eminent personalities related with the environment will be honoured, and experts from across the world will also participate remotely and share their knowledge on the environment.

• Contests will be arranged for a variety of activities, such as painting contests and writing competitions, in order to raise awareness among people of all ages.

General things to be considered –

• Students from schools are welcome with their parents. University/college students should come along with their faculty teacher.

• The participants are requested to reach the venue before 15 minutes of their respective competitions.

• Students must carry their id-cards

• Free registration for all the participants.

• Maximum number of participants are welcomed.

• Certificate of participation will be given to all

• Winners of competitions will be rewarded.

World Environment Day Contest for School Students

FairGaze (leading school media), along with Sesame Workshop Initiative (India) Pvt Ltd and India Is Us, has initiated the #OneDayForEnvironment drive coinciding with the World Environment Day observed on 5th June every year.


This campaign aims to fulfill UN-led Sustainable Development Goals SDG-13 (Climate Action), SDG -14 (Life below water) and SDG-15 (Life on Land) through the World Environment Day campaign by encouraging students to take impactful actions towards environmental conservation

As a part of the campaign, we are introducing #OneDayForEnvironment in continuation of the existing hashtag chain #OneDayForFuture.

Objectives of the Campaign
- Foster awareness and understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the school community.
- Highlight the need for immediate, sustainable actions to conserve the environment
- Make students aware of how individual/ local community actions can have global consequences.
- Exposure of students to global and local communities, challenges and experiences outside of their own, making them more empathetic and caring.

Participation Guidelines
Save Environment, Save Your Future
Who can participate- Students of classes 1st - 5th of any school/NGO/Community based organization across India.

Mode of participation- Online, The contest is free for all students. Language Of Submissions - English/Hindi

Schools can send as many entries as they want. However, each student is allowed to send only one entry. All participants will be given certificates.

Students to submit a 1min video on actions taken by them toward environmental conservation.

PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS
All participants will receive a certificate.
25 Lucky students submitting the story will be selected for a virtual interaction with Chamki, a bright, bubbly 5-year-old, who asks a lot of questions. She always has new, big ideas and wants to add a “Chamki twist” to make activities even more fun and wild.

CyberMeme Competition

The Ministry of Home Affairs has set up the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under a Scheme to handle all the issues related to cybercrime in a comprehensive and coordinated manner. I4C has a National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) i.e., www.cybercrime.gov.in wherein all the complaints pertaining to cybercrime are reported by the citizens. I4C also has a helpline number 1930, wherein the financial cyber fraud complaints are reported by the citizens. One of the main objectives of I4C is to create an ecosystem for prevention of cybercrime and to provide cyber safety tips to citizens for cyber hygiene.
