World Environment Day Contest for School Students

FairGaze (leading school media), along with Sesame Workshop Initiative (India) Pvt Ltd and India Is Us, has initiated the #OneDayForEnvironment drive coinciding with the World Environment Day observed on 5th June every year.


This campaign aims to fulfill UN-led Sustainable Development Goals SDG-13 (Climate Action), SDG -14 (Life below water) and SDG-15 (Life on Land) through the World Environment Day campaign by encouraging students to take impactful actions towards environmental conservation

As a part of the campaign, we are introducing #OneDayForEnvironment in continuation of the existing hashtag chain #OneDayForFuture.

Objectives of the Campaign
- Foster awareness and understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the school community.
- Highlight the need for immediate, sustainable actions to conserve the environment
- Make students aware of how individual/ local community actions can have global consequences.
- Exposure of students to global and local communities, challenges and experiences outside of their own, making them more empathetic and caring.

Participation Guidelines
Save Environment, Save Your Future
Who can participate- Students of classes 1st - 5th of any school/NGO/Community based organization across India.

Mode of participation- Online, The contest is free for all students. Language Of Submissions - English/Hindi

Schools can send as many entries as they want. However, each student is allowed to send only one entry. All participants will be given certificates.

Students to submit a 1min video on actions taken by them toward environmental conservation.

PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS
All participants will receive a certificate.
25 Lucky students submitting the story will be selected for a virtual interaction with Chamki, a bright, bubbly 5-year-old, who asks a lot of questions. She always has new, big ideas and wants to add a “Chamki twist” to make activities even more fun and wild.
