Sport is an essential component for the holistic development of our nation. India has achieved significant growth in sports during the previous few years. Thus, in order to revitalise sports culture, the government has undertaken a number of initiatives to strengthen India's sporting infrastructure and to provide opportunities for the youth in the field of sports.
The Khelo India programme is one of the initiatives that have been introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-roots level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and establishing India as a great sporting nation.
The Sports & Youth Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with MyGov, is inviting creative minds to suggest a slogan for the Khelo India University Games 2022, which will touch the cord of the people and ignite the sportsman spirit of the Games in its true form.
