Women At Work- Photo Essay Contest by World Bank


Did you know? India has one of the lowest female workforce participation in the world. This means – seven out of every ten educated women in the prime working age (26-45 years) are not economically active. Women missing from the workforce undermines India’s true economic potential. This International Women’s Day, the World Bank puts the spotlight on how this trend can be reversed through the South Asia Women in the Workplace Week from March 8-13. 


The World Bank office in India invites you to participate in the Women At Work Photo Essay Contest. Tell through your lens: how can more women be brought into the workforce? 

Eligibility
All participants must be Indian citizens and 18 years or older to participate.

Recognition
The winning entry will be prominently exhibited at the World Bank’s New Delhi office as well as published in upcoming World Bank Publications. The winning photographer gets a chance to become an empaneled vendor with the Bank.
Top three entries will win E-Gift Vouchers. Winners will be announced on 8th March 2020.

Guidelines
1. The photo essay can be an individual or team effort. It must include four to six photos supplemented with caption, no longer than 150 words each.

2. The photos must not have any text, logo, watermark on them.

3. Each photo should be high resolution (2mb / 72 DPI) and sent in a JPEG format.

4. Image file to be submitted in the following format (FIRST NAME [of any one of the entrants])_(LAST NAME)_00(ORDER NUMBER OF THE PHOTO)

5. All entries to be submitted via We Transfer or Google Drive links to indiainfo@worldbank.org with the contact information of the entrant.

6. Submitted work must be solely owned by the entrant. We will not accept co-owned or plagiarized concepts.

7. Entrants must take video consent of minors and their guardians before shooting.

8. Winning entry must provide ownership right to World Bank to publish and promote the content through its online and publication channels.


9. Staff of the World Bank Group and/or UN (including their consultants, contractors and their employees) are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Immediate, family members and relatives of WB and UN staff are not eligible to participate. Family members of judges are not eligible to participate
