Furthering its efforts to achieve a ‘Clean India’, as part of the Bal Swachhata Mission, CBSE announces the
CBSE Expression Series on ‘Bal Swachhata Mission’ from 14th to 19th November 2014.The
highlights of this series are:
1. Open to all schools affiliated to CBSE and recognised state boards
2. Entries can be submitted in any of the 22 scheduled languages and English for four categories:
classes: i) I-V, ii) VI-VIII, iii) IX-XII, iv) Differently abled
3. There are different themes for each day as per the details given below:
14th November 2014: Clean Schools/Surroundings/Play areas
15th November2014:Clean Food
17th November 2014:Clean Self
18th November 2014 :Clean Drinking Water
19th November 2014 : Clean Toilets
4. Topics based on themes for each day will be announced on http//:cbseacademic.in one day in advance.
5. Time of submission: 9.00am to 5.00pm each day.
6. Modes of submission: online/offline (links will be provided on 13th November 2014 on
cbseacademic.in)/mobile phones(see Annexure I). 13th November, 2014 will be used for practice.
7. Type of entry: Essay/Poem/Poster/ Drawing/Painting.
8. 30 best entries on each day will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs.2500/-.
9. All participants with valid email ids will be given participation certificates. Hence, all participants must
write their email ids correctly.
10. In case an entry is found to be plagiarised at any stage, the entry will be disqualified. There will be a
telephonic/ face-to-face interaction with the prospective winners to ascertain the originality of the entry
submitted. Entries not in prescribed format will be summarily rejected.
11. No correspondence will be entertained on the selection of best entries.
