Veer Ko Naman - Pan India Selfie Contest, Dedicated to the Brave hearts


Inaugurated and dedicated to the Nation, three years ago on 25 Feb 2019, the National War Memorial situated in New Delhi stands testimony to the sacrifices made by our gallant soldiers since Independence. The iconic monument which celebrates victory in a war and at the same time remembers the brave hearts, is a tribute to every soldier who has contributed in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of India.

The National War Memorial provides an opportunity to the people to connect with the gallant war heroes and serves as a beacon of inspiration for our future generations. Over the last one year, more than 21 lakh people including dignitaries, both domestic and foreign, have visited the NWM. Over 7,000 - 8,000 people visit the monument everyday and on weekends the monument witnesses about 15,000 - 20,000 footfall, which includes a large number of students from the National Capital Region.

Quiz on National War Memorial


National War Memorial was inaugurated and dedicated to the Armed Forces of the Nation by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 25 Feb 2019. It has the names of approximately 26,500 battle casualties of Army Navy & Airforce since Independence, engraved on the honour walls of Tyaag Chakra. This is a humble gesture by the ever grateful nation to the supreme sacrifice made by the Armed Forces personnel.

The Memorial is completing three years of its dedication to the nation on 25th February 2022.

On this occasion, a Quiz Competition is being organized by National War Memorial and MyGov to extend the celebration of nationalism and patriotism across India.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) in association with the South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA), Vigyan Prasar(VP), and SRM University (Andhra Pradesh, India) is celebrating the Iconic Science Week Celebration to communicate and popularize Atmospheric and Meteorological Sciences among school-going children as well as graduate and undergraduate science students.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is an initiative of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education (earlier known as Ministry of Human Resources and Development). VVM is a national program for popularizing science among school students of standard VI to XI, conceptualised to identify the bright minds with a scientific aptitude among the student community.

WORLD PLUMBING DAY POSTER CONTEST

March 11 is World Plumbing Day... every year, everywhere! It is a date that has been celebrated by the international plumbing community since its establishment by the World Plumbing Council in 2010, and is now a fixture on the calendars of political and social institutions across the globe.

The international plumbing community has a vital role in promoting the link between good quality plumbing, environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and, even more than ever during the present global COVID-19 pandemic, public health and hygiene. World Plumbing Day is a vital way to remember, highlight and promote those links.

All through March 2022, IWSH will recognizing World Plumbing Day with an international poster competition for children in 1st to 6th grade (Elementary / Primary school age). The winning poster creator receives US$1,000 for their school and US$100 for themselves. Second place receives US$500 for their school and US$50 to the student and third place receives US$250 to their school and US$25 to the student. Our favorite poster entries will also be featured on IWSH social media channels throughout the month!

An entry consists of a poster, US Letter size or A4 size, made solely by the entrant, inspired by World Plumbing Day and must feature the wording...



ELIGIBILITY Residents of any country enrolled in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, or the local equivalent, during the contest period are eligible for entry.

PLUMBING IS ESSENTIAL.

The Art and Writing Environmental Awareness Contest (International)

Binsey Poplar Press is a non-profit student art and writing magazine centered in Santa Clara County, California. It is run by a team of dedicated college and high school students, and publish a magazine with work from students ages 12-26 across the globe.
