SCI-FAI FUTURES YOUTH CHALLENGE - United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs

Launched in celebration of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, Sci-fAI Futures invites young people to explore possible futures around the opportunities to leverage AI for good and the risks of integrating AI in the military domain. Their story will take place in the year 2145, two hundred years after the United Nations came into existence.  

As States discuss these issues within multilateral forums, the challenge is the opportunity for young voices to influence the debate through creative means and frame military AI through the lens of their hopes and concerns. Entering Sci-fAI Futures means entering a timely, global conversation to craft their own safe AI future.

WWF-India brings you the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC) — the biggest wildlife quiz in the world. Designed to spark curiosity and inspire action among students, the WWGC takes participants on an unforgettable journey through the wonders of nature. This year, the challenge explores the fascinating world of insects through engaging quizzes, hands-on workshops, and expert-led webinars.


Theme: Incredible Insects

From fireflies lighting up the night sky to ants constructing complex underground tunnels, insects are nature's unsung heroes. These tiny creatures have a massive impact on ecosystems and even modern technology. For example, the flight of bees has influenced the design of drones.

The 2025 edition of WWGC invites students to uncover the secrets of these incredible insects and discover their vital roles in our world.

The challenge is open to students from Classes 6 to 9 across the country. Schools can register their students for free and join this exciting expedition into the natural world.

3. Submit 1 A4 page document & 1 video file online (Round#1)

Document (with 2 sections) of A4 size with learning/key message from the book, story, experience, or views on the topic (Top half of the page) + Propose an innovative solution to any school, college, social, community, regional, global, or humanitarian problem of your choice (Bottom half of the page)

  b. Video (Maximum 2 mins summarizing the key message or learning or findings from the story/book/views on topic) staring with a self-introduction


*Round#1: A total of 25 to 100 students from each of the 4 categories make their way to Round#2 based on the video and document evaluations from online submissions

National Scholarship Exam - Nice Foundation

NICE Foundation conducts National Scholarship Exam at National Level in all over India. In which students from Std. 5th To 12th and Degree / Diploma Students can participate from any board and university.


The NSE Examination is based on a Multiple Choice Questions pattern which will help students to be more practice & careful while attempting the questions. Vidyadhan Scholarship Program for School Students

Vidyadhan Scholarship Program from Sarojini Damodaran Foundation supports the college education of meritorious students from economically challenged families. The students are selected after completion of 10th grade /SSLC through a rigorous selection process including test and interview. Currently Vidyadhan program has around 8000 students across the following states: Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Goa, Odisha, New Delhi, Ladhak, Bihar, Jarkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.


Those selected will be eligible for two year scholarship from the Foundation. If they continue to do well, they will be given scholarship for pursuing any degree course of their interest; these scholarships are directly through the foundation or external sponsors who have registered with the Foundation. The scholarship amount for graduation courses varies from Rs 10,000 to Rs 75,000 per year depending on the state, course, duration etc. The selected students will be required to attend the mentoring programs from the Foundation.

Students can apply free of cost on the website direclty. No other person or institutions have been authorized to select students on our behalf.

Scholarship Amounts

The scholarship amount for 11th and 12th grade will be a maximum of Rs. 10000/year.

Who Can Apply?
Students whose family annual income is less than Rs. 2 Lakhs and who have completed their 10th grade/SSC exam in the year 2024 from West Bengal. They should also have scored 80% or obtained 7.5CGPA in their 10th Grade/SSC examination. The cut off mark for students with disability is 65%.

Selection Process
SDF will shortlist the applicants based on the academic performance and the information provided in the application form. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for a short online test/interview.

21st July 2024: Screening Test
9th August to 20th August 2024: Interview/Tests will be scheduled during this time frame. Exact date and location will be intimated to each of the shortlisted candidates.

The “Art on Climate” International Illustration Competition is now inviting talented illustrators to craft artworks that address the theme of climate change. Organised by Fingertips Company Limited and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), “Art on Climate” is a worldwide illustration competition designed to bring greater awareness of effective approaches for combating climate change.

Initially launched in Spain in 2019, the "Art on Climate" competition expanded its reach to the Asia-Pacific region in 2021 and the global world in 2022. The 2023 campaign has drawn tremendous participation, with over 1,600 illustrators from more than 100 locations submitting over 2,800 remarkable artworks. Must be original works relevant to the theme of the competition and submitted by participants on an individual basis.
Each participant may submit up to a maximum of three artworks.
The submitted artwork(s) must not have been previously published or used for any other purpose, and must not have been previously awarded or currently participating in other competition selections.
No signatures, words, symbols or pictures that identify the participants may be placed on the submitted artwork(s).
The artwork(s) must be in a flat image and created in colour.
The artwork(s) can be created using any medium, including painting, computer software, and mixed media. However, artworks generated by artificial intelligence are not accepted. The use of photographs and clip art is prohibited.
Should be in A3 size (297mm x 420mm), in either horizontal or vertical format.
Must be uploaded in JPG format, with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, and the total size of each entry should be no more than 10MB.
Each artwork should be accompanied by a short description (minimum 30 words, maximum 100 words).

Competition Guidelines
Participants have to create a reel video on the theme and sub-themes stipulate above.
Maximum time limit for the reel is 120 seconds.
The video should be original and creative. For any issue related to copyright infringement , the creator will be held responsible .
Only one video per participant is allowed.
Students, professionals, influencers, academicians, etc, can participate in this competition.
Participants shall be disqualified if they exceed the stipulated time.
Participants may register without submission of video to avail early bird registration.
Participants registered without submission of video shall submit the video on or before 11.59 p.m. June 30, 2024. Failure to submit video with the stipulated period the registration deems to be cancelled and the payment made toward registration will not be refunded.

10th annual competition for short films on human rights

he National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India, has invited entries for its tenth annual competition for short films on human rights. The last date to receive the entries is 30th August, 2024. The winning entries will be awarded.


The Short Film Awards scheme was instituted by the Commission in 2015. The scheme aims to encourage and acknowledge cinematic and creative efforts of Indian citizens, irrespective of their age, towards promoting and protecting human rights. In all previous competitions, the Commission received tremendous responses from different parts of the country.

To celebrate "World Environment Day (June 5, 2024)", the EIACP Resource Partner on Avian Ecology at the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS-EIACP) organizing an online photography competition.
