The ‘Teacher Connect competition’ is part of endeavour to make online teacher professional development more accessible and inclusive for teachers.

How do scams and scandals in our society reflect the need for ethics and integrity? How do scams and scandals affect the common people? What can we do about them? What are the ethical and moral demands on our soicety, given the increasing cases of scandals, scams and corruption?

The larger framework of this competition is to explore the significance of ethics in the society at large and in the business world in particular. So, you are requested to choose one specific topic which you are convinced of and argue for it. Do not remain at the general or descriptive level. All India Sudoku Championship Winter 2023

The name “Sudoku” is derived from the Japanese suuji wa dokushin ni kagiru which means “the numbers (or digits) must remain single. It’s a puzzle with deep roots in Asian history and played across the globe.


What is All India Sudoku Championship by Malsar?

All India Sudoku Championship is organised twice a year (Summer Edition and Winter Edition)by MALSAR . The events is attended by participants from Metro cities to small towns to even the remotest parts of India. This contest is aimed at spreading awareness and encouraging Sudoku culture in the country inspiring people of all ages to keep their minds young and rewarding the best Sudoku solvers of the country.

The championship comprises three rounds - easy, medium, and hard - each with an elimination process. Complete details will be shared with registered participants, ensuring they are well-prepared for the competition. The problems used will be of many different types.

International Day of Sign Languages Quiz

he International Day of Sign Languages offers an opportunity to celebrate and protect the cultural diversity and linguistic identity of all deaf individuals as well as sign language users. Every year International Sign Language Day is celebrated world over on 23rd September 2023. This day advocates that Sign Language is for everyone and not restricted to deaf community.


Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, intends to host a quiz which aims:
1) To create awareness on the linguistic identity and cultural diversity of deaf people and sign language users.
2) To highlight the specific features of ISL and Deaf culture in India.

Career Development Scholarship 2023 by Sakal India Foundation

Applications are invited for Career Development Scholarship 2023 by Sakal India Foundation.
CDS scheme will cover students from class 11th to Post-Graduation. The current beneficiary students can renew their scholarships till the Post-Graduation level. The basic eligibility criteria are the academic excellence and achievements of the students. Candidate from a lower family income group, having an aggregate of a minimum of 85% in the previous class, completed 10th class or above with a good record in co-curricular & extracurricular activities can apply for the scholarship.

Sakal India Foundation (SIF) has been working to empower students with Scholarships, Education Loans and Career Mentoring since 1959. The idea of setting up this organisation was to encourage meritorious students from a weak financial background with grants and scholarships to pursue higher education.


To carry through the idea of helping deserving students from financially weaker backgrounds, SIF started their Career Development Scholarship over three decades ago. Till now, SIF has granted Career Development Scholarship to thousands of students with outstanding merit.

Eligibility
The necessary eligibility criteria for CDS that the candidates need to fulfil to get consent for the grant are listed out here:

The candidate must have a validated admission letter.
The candidate must have completed 10th class or above class to qualify for this scheme.

Adoption Awareness Quiz Contest

Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India. It functions as the nodal body for the adoption of Indian children and is mandated to monitor and regulate in-country and inter-country adoptions under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Child) Act, 2015 (amended in 2021). CARA is designated as the Central Authority to deal with inter-country adoptions in accordance with the provisions of the Hague Convention on Inter-country Adoption, 1993, ratified by the Government of India in 2003.

CARA primarily deals with the adoption of orphan, abandoned and surrendered children through its associated /recognized adoption agencies. Every year, November is marked as Adoption Awareness Month. With an objective of promoting and making people aware of legal adoption and safe abandonment/surrendering. CARA is trying to reach a larger population. All states are encouraged to organize events in November to draw attention to adoption-related issues. This year the emphasis is on the adoption of children who are older children, children with special needs or children currently in foster care.


CARA, in collaboration with MyGov, is hosting an ‘Adoption Awareness Quiz Contest’ to sensitize people towards the safety & belongingness of children and make them aware of the legal process of adoption under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (amended in 2021).

The Objectives of this quiz are:
1. To enhance participants’ awareness about the legal process of child adoption.
2. To promote the legal process of adoption that safeguards the rights of Abandoned, Surrendered and Orphaned children.
3. To foster an understanding of why we need to know about the legal process of child adoption and the safe surrendering of a child.
4. To motivate people about the adoption of older children/Special needs children/ children in foster care, because they too need to belong.

A nationwide Quiz, “Sardar Unity Trinity Quiz” is being hosted on MyGov platform to celebrate the life, ideals, and accomplishments of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.


The aim of the quiz is to introduce the youth and citizens of India to the social values, ideologies, ethics, and morals associated with Sardar Patel, while highlighting the achievements and vision of the Government of India. The quiz is available in multiple regional languages including English and Hindi.

WHO CAN APPLY
