Poem Writing Competition for Students

On the occasion of “World Earth Day, April 22, 2024”, the EIACP Programme Centre (PC), Resource Partner (RP) on Avian Ecology at the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS-EIACP) is organizing a “Poem Writing Competition” for the students.

 

Theme : Save Earth, Save Nature

 

Group A : Class 5-7

Group B : Class 8-10 

 

Last date of submission: April 30, 2024.

This competition is open to students only.

The poem may be written in English, Marathi, or Hindi. It should not exceed 50 to 60 words.

Submit the poem in PDF, Word, or Image format only.

Winners may be asked to provide proof of date of birth or school ID card.

Participants must submit their original work and are prohibited from plagiarism or using copyrighted material.

Three winners will be selected from each group and awarded prizes and certificates.

World Environment Day Photography Contest

Entries are invited for World Environment Day Photography Contest 2024 by British Deputy High Commission Kolkata and IBSA.

Age Group

Junior: under 18 years.

Senior: above 18 years.

Contest Rules

Every entrant can submit up to a maximum of 1 original photograph in each category.

Format: JPG or JPEG only. File size: minimum 1 MB and above.

All images must be named in the following format: “Full Name of Entrant_Category_Age_Image Title”.

Entrants are allowed to submit their own photographic work. If it is found that someone else’s work has been submitted, then that entrant is disqualified.

No photo should carry watermark, date or any copyright marks.

By entering the contest, the entrant is agreeing to all the terms and conditions, including allowing Indo-British Scholars’ Association and British Deputy High Commission / UK Government to use and publish the winning entries on their website and social media channels.

The discretion of the judges are final. Candidates are not allowed to challenge these decisions.

IBSA and
British Deputy High Commission Kolkata reserves the right to cancel this event at any given point of time without giving any reason.

Results

The winners will be invited to a felicitation ceremony in Kolkata on 30 May 2024. Results and Venue will be communicated to winners in advance. Please note that travel costs to attend the Felicitation ceremony to be borne by individual participants.

Rule and Regulation

The last date of registration for the 1st round of the international yoga competition is 15th May 2023 and the participants have to submit their performance video before 15th May 2023. After 15th May submission is not valid.

Selected students from 1st round, will participate in the Final round of competition at AYM Yoga School

Each participant has to submit their video of 3 to 5 minutes.

Each and every participant has to disclose the apps they have used to enhance the aesthetic of the video and should not temper with the speed of the video.

It is expected from the candidate to shoot their video from the camera having at least 12 mp or higher and positioned in such a way all the body part get captured in the frame while performing.

Candidates have to shoot their video to a white backdrop and must wear proper yogic attire.

YLAC High School Achievers

he High School Achievers program (HSA) is a one-of-a-kind leadership program for India’s most promising students to help them become active agents of change in society.

 

Designed as a week long summer bootcamp for grades 9th to 12th, HSA is YLAC’s attempt to create a platform for young adults to discover their true potential. We do this by helping students explore different perspectives, understand identity and privilege, build critical thinking skills and acquire tools to become effective leaders.

 

As the first-ever initiative under the YLAC umbrella, HSA was launched from Delhi in 2016 and has since expanded to other cities. It is a highly selective program that receives outstanding applications from a large number of very talented and passionate students.
