Kids Sudoku Championship

The Kids Sudoku Championship is an exciting event designed to challenge children. The main objective of the championship is to introduce children to the game of Sudoku at an early age, as it can help to develop their cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills. By participating in the championship, children will learn to think logically, solve complex problems, and improve their concentration and memory skills.


The championship comprises three rounds - easy, medium, and hard - each with an elimination process. Complete details will be shared with registered participants, ensuring they are well-prepared for the competition. The problems used will be 4X4, 6X6, 8X8 for all category. Participant's ranks will be calculated category-wise.

Annually, on the auspicious occasion of Dhanwantari Jayanti, the Ministry of Ayush rekindles the spirit of Ayurveda Day. With the 8th Ayurveda Day just around the corner, set to grace our calendars on the 10th of November 2023, we are elated to unveil an exciting initiative. The Ministry of Ayush is thrilled to introduce a National Level Short Video Competition, a compelling component of our 8th Ayurveda Day celebration.


The National Level Short Video Competition is organised by CCRAS, an autonomous organisation under Ministry of Ayush, on the occasion of 8th Ayurveda day 2023. Ministry of Ayush invites all citizens to participate in this creative endeavour around the theme of "Ayurveda for everyone on every day" / " เคนเคฐ เคฆिเคจ เคนเคฐ เค•िเคธी เค•े เคฒिเค เค†เคฏुเคฐ्เคตेเคฆ”.

Your participation in this dynamic competition not only celebrates our rich heritage but also paves the way for a wider conversation on the vital topic of Ayurveda for everyone on every day for all.

Procedure to send entries:
1. The entries must be submitted on MyGov, which are free of cost.

4. Along with the necessary details, a YouTube link of the video and synopsis needs to be added.
5. The video needs to be uploaded on to YouTube as UNLISTED.

Poster-Making Competition for CARA

Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India. It functions as the nodal body for the adoption of Indian children and is mandated to monitor and regulate in-country and inter-country adoptions under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Child) Act, 2015 (amended in 2021). CARA is designated as the Central Authority to deal with inter-country adoptions in accordance with the provisions of the Hague Convention on Inter-country Adoption, 1993, ratified by the Government of India in 2003.


CARA primarily deals with the adoption of orphaned, abandoned, and surrendered children through its associated or recognized adoption agencies. Every year, November is marked as Adoption Awareness Month. With the objective of promoting and making people aware of legal adoption and safe abandonment or surrendering. CARA is trying to reach a larger population. All states are encouraged to organize events in November to draw attention to adoption-related issues. This year, the emphasis is on the adoption of children who are older, children with special needs, or children currently in foster care.

Every year, November is marked as Adoption Awareness Month. The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, celebrates child adoption and makes people aware of the legal process of adoption & safeguarding of children.

Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), in collaboration with MyGov, is inviting citizens to participate in the Poster-Making Competition, which aims to reach the masses through creative means and the involvement of the public at large, creating awareness of legal adoption and the safe surrender of children. Khadi Mahotsav Essay Contest

Khadi is the fabric of freedom struggle and the Father of the nation. Mahatma Gandhi developed the concept of Khadi as a means to provide employment to the unemployed rural population and make them self-reliant. Our Hon’ble PM has given the mantra of ‘Khadi for Nation, Khadi for Fashion’, and Khadi is now seen as a fashion statement. It is now used in denim, jackets, shirts, dress material, stoles, home furnishings, and apparel accessories like handbags.


With an objective of promoting Khadi and Village Industries, Handloom and handicraft products, ODOP products, and products of various traditional and cottage industries manufactured locally or by SHGs and to further promote the idea of the “Vocal for Local” campaign and ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Govt. of India has initiated a special campaign “Khadi Mahotsav”. The campaign is being organized across the country from 2nd October to 31st October every year.

The campaign is aimed at sensitizing the youth towards Khadi, ‘Vocal for Local’ and making them aware of their benefits to our economy, ecology & women's empowerment and to encourage the public at large & youth in particular to buy Khadi & other local products and inculcate in them pride for local products.

Khadi Mahotsav Essay Writing Competition is one such contest being organized by KVIC in collaboration with MyGov for UG/PG Students inviting them to write an essay on any one of the below-mentioned topics:

1. Khadi is not a cloth but an idea.

a) The online essay writing competition is open to all persons who are currently enrolled as UG/PG students in a course of study at any institution recognized by any University in India.
b) Only one entry from each participant will be considered. In case it is discovered that a participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries from the participant will be disqualified.

General Guidelines:
a) There are no charges/registration fees for participation in the competition.
b) The competition is open only for Indian Citizens.
c) The Essay can be submitted either in Hindi or English languages.
d) The length of the Essay must not exceed 1500 words.
e) The Essay must be typed in an A-4 size MS word document using Arial font for English and Mangal font for Hindi, having size 12 with 1.5” spacing and should be submitted in the form of PDF.
f) The participants must be the same person who has written the essay. The Essay should reflect original thinking and presentation.

KVIC and National School of Drama, New Delhi is organising a Street Play Contest for the Indian students of UG/PG in India (or abroad) in collaboration with MyGov on the theme - Khadi for Nation Khadi for Fashion/Vocal for Local/ Atmanirbhar Bharat. All the participants, through their streetplay should aim to spread awareness about Khadi Mahotsav and to promote the idea of ‘vocal for local’ campaign and ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ envisaged by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Through this contest, participants are encouraged:
1. To explore their creative instinct and produce a street play that promotes Khadi and local products.
2. To attract the younger population towards use of local produce for creating a self-reliant India.
3. To motivate them on a higher level to contribute towards Atmanirbhar Bharat by using Khadi and local products.

Please Note:
a. The street play video should be in any of the following Indian languages:

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission, in collaboration with MyGov is hosting a Slogan Competition, to sensitize the youth towards Khadi, ‘Vocal for Local’ and make them aware of the benefits of these to our economy, ecology & women’s empowerment and to catalyze the public at large & youth in particular to buy Khadi & local products and inculcate in them pride for local products.


The main objectives of the slogan writing competition are to:
1. Create awareness among the citizens about khadi and its promotion as a fabric.
2. Develop knowledge among citizens about the importance of vocal for local initiatives.
3. Promote an understanding of the relevance of the focus areas.
4. Encourage citizens to creatively express their ideas on Khadi and local products, in making India self-reliant.

Technical Parameters:
1. The slogan should be original.
2. It should be simple in language and can be in both English and Hindi.
3. The slogan should be grammatically correct and in short sentences with a word limit of 8 words.
4. The slogan should bring the thrust areas of Khadi and local products.
5. Only one slogan may be prepared per candidate.

Selection Process:
1. The Slogan entry must be submitted in a “SLOGAN-Your Name.docx/.doc/.Pdf” Format with your contact details.
2. Any deviation from the said specification shall be liable to disqualify.
3. All the entries shall be scrutinized and short-listed based on the best concept, correct format, and creative imagination used, by a selection committee.

Quiz on Cyclones

On the backdrop of huge loss of life and property due to cyclones over the North Indian Ocean, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations (UN) took the initiative to establish the WMO/ Economic & Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) Panel on Tropical Cyclones (WMO/ESCAP PTC) in 1973 to save the life and property from the vagaries of cyclones affecting the countries in the Bay of Bengal & Arabian Sea region. At present there are 13 members in the PTC including Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Yemen. 

In 1973 itself, India Meteorological Department (IMD) was given the onus to act as WMO recognized Regional Specialised Meteorological Centre, New Delhi (RSMC New Delhi) to provide advisories w.r.t. cyclonic disturbances developing over the North Indian Ocean. We are commemorating 50 years of formation of WMO/ESCAP PTC and RSMC New Delhi, which have helped in minimizing the death toll to double digit in the region due to cyclones in recent decades. As a part of the celebrations, the IMD is conducting a quiz competition to improve public awareness about various aspects of tropical cyclones in the region. 



The main objectives of the quiz competition are to:

1.  Create an awareness on the tropical cyclones over North Indian Ocean.

2.  Promote an understanding among the people in the region about the role of regional cooperation among the member countries of WMO/ESCAP Panel on tropical Cyclones.

3.  To learn about various initiatives by IMD to minimize death toll over the region.

Information Technology Department is delighted to announce a Painting contest for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. This contest aims to capture the developmental progress in the Union Territory on the occasion of UT Foundation Day (31st October 2023). Participants can showcase their talents and win exciting cash prizes.
Theme:
Participants can enter the contest through any of the mentioned themes and can take up any of the subjects for applying in the contest.


Entry Categories
a. General Age group above 18 years (Entry format: single painting photo)
b. Special Encouragement (Below 18 years) (Entry format: single painting photo)
Eligibility
The contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age and gender.

Painting Competition Submission Guidelines
1. Entry is limited to original works that have not formerly been released as any printed, web-based, or other medium (including advertising and stock photos) and for which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
2. Works that have won prizes in other contests or that have been submitted to other contests currently underway, including similar works, are not eligible. Even works that are entered in other competitions after submission to this contest will be regarded as having been submitted to other contests currently underway.
3. Before submitting a work, the entrant is responsible for taking all steps necessary to protect the right of publicity and other rights of persons depicted in the work, including but not limited to obtaining their permission, to avoid any problems related to the infringement of these rights.
4. Entrants are responsible for the resolution of any legal issues arising from their submitted works and agree to pay any costs thereby incurred.
5. Entries including content from (1) to (5) below may be disqualified at the organizer’s discretion:
a. Content that infringes on any laws, or is defamatory or libelous.
b. Content that constitutes or encourages criminal behavior leads to civil liability, or otherwise violates laws
c. Commercial content that promotes products or services
d. Content in which animals were harmed or manipulated in the making of said content
e. Content that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or other intellectual property rights of a third person or entity (whether individuals or companies), or violates rights of privacy or publicity.
Guidelines for Painting Contest:
a. Both color and monochrome paintings will be accepted.
b. File size: up to 5 MB of image data per work.
c. Please ensure that English/Hindi/urdu language subtitles are included for judging.
d. Image data file format: JPEG/150 dpi or more recommended.
e. Entrants must hold all applicable rights to the final image, including any retouching or other image processing.
f. Winners might be asked to provide higher-resolution original painting for publication or display purposes related to the contest.

Awards and Prizes:
Category 1 Winners (above 18 years of age)
a. 1st Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000.
b. 2nd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 8,000
c. 3rd Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 5,000
d. and 02 consolation prize of 3500/- each
Category 2 Winners (Special Encouragement award) (below 18 years of age)
a. 1st Prize winner will receive a cash price of INR 10,000.
