The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) notified the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), on 5th December 2018, as a non-statutory regulatory body, by merging the National Council for Vocational Training and National Skill Development Agency.
Objective:
NCVET has been set up as an overarching regulatory body mandated to regulate both long and short-term vocational training in the country and is in the process of being operationalized.
Mandate/Functions:
The NCVET will regulate the functioning of entities engaged in Vocational Education & Training (VET) and establish uniform standards for the functioning of such entities. Major functions are-
i. Recognition and regulation of Awarding Bodies, Assessment Agencies and Skill Information Providers
ii. Approval of Qualifications
iii. Monitoring and supervision of recognized entities
iv. Grievance redressal
In order to proceed further, the National Council of Vocational Education and Training plans to conduct a competition to design a LOGO for NCVET. The logo would give visual identity to NCVET, Government of India. The LOGO & design should capture the importance of the Skill Development ecosystem in the country and essence of the organization according to the objective and the functions of NCVET.

A best suitable LOGO will be selected and finalized by the evaluation committee and winner will be awarded a token of award for Rs 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) in addition to a certificate of appreciation. There is no registration fee and no other expenditure will be paid to the participant.
The last date for submission is by midnight of 31st December, 2019 on ‘My Gov Portal’.
The participants are also requested to submit half-page write up on the designed LOGO to describe the meaning and significance of tools, shades, colours used and also the reason why LOGO is useful and suitable for the newly established regulator-NCVET.
