# Essay Competition in 23 Languages
#Awards : Trio to Japan. Laptops and Cash Prizes of Rs.15 Lakhs
1.0 Petroleum Conservation Research Association invites children of Recognized Schools within India, affiliated to All Boards, Central or State, for a National Level Painting & Essay writing competition
2.0 Languages for Essay: Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali. Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Dogri, Nepali, Bodo and Santhali.
3.0 Eligibility: Students of classes 6th to gth are eligible to participate in the competition through their school only. No individual entry will be entertained & schools can participate in either or both (Essay & Painting) Competitions.
4.0 Commencement Date and Period: 14th. Aug 2015 till 30th. Sept 2015
5. 0 The salient features of the two schemes are as follows:
A Painting Competition
B. Essay Competition
A. School Level Painting Competition 2015 to be conducted by the School, for students of 6-9 for a duration of two hours. Schools are requested to advertise the topic for the Painting competition in advance, so as to enable the children to obtain information on fuel conservation from various sources. They may also visit PCRA website www.pcra.org.
Participating school will send the scan copy or photograph of the best entry of the painting competition, along with an Undertaking as per Annexure 1, to email
competitions2015@pcra.org
The entry of the school should reach by email, immediately after the result of the competition . and in no case later than 30.09.15,
1500 Hours. Entries received without the completed fonnat as per Annexure 1 or sent directly by students or their parents or received as hard copy will not be accepted
The Principal also has to certify the number of participating students in the competition. The schools are required to retain the entries sent to PCRA. in original, as those entries shortlisted for the final round, when contacted, will be required to be submitted in original, to PCRA.
The children can use Pencils, Pencil Colours, Crayons, Water Colours etc. The children may consider the following points while painting: ·
I. Relevance of the theme depicting the topic
ii. Execution of concept/theme.
iii. Overall visual appeal, handling of given space and use of appropriate colour combination.
