Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India 2024

The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge India is the prestigious Indian National Event of the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge. Experience the excitement as Indian teams showcase their skills in a UN-based global robotics competition, focusing on the critical area of disaster response. This National Event, to be held at the Pragati Maidan, International Exhibition cum Convention Centre in New Delhi, India, as a side event of WTSA-24, is a qualifying tournament leading to the Grand Finale in Geneva during the AI for Good Global Summit 2025. 

This global competition is open to any individual or team willing to design, build, and code a robot to address the proposed challenge of disaster response in the competition game board, contributing to the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility
School students under the age of 18.

The category of the participating team is assigned according to the year of birth, from January 1st to December 31st: Junior (2013 - 2010) and Senior (2009-2006).
The registration is Free.
A team can have 1-8 members.
In case of participants of different ages, based on the oldest team member age the category will be chosen.

Quiz on Military Might of India

The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, proudly announces an exhilarating online quiz series as part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2024. This initiative aims to ignite patriotic feelings among the youth and masses through a deep dive into four compelling themes:

1. Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Production

2. Indian Freedom Struggle

3. Military Might of India

4. National Symbols and Traditions

All Indian Citizens can participate in the quiz.
 
Salient features:

1. Each of the quiz will be in bilingual format i.e. in Hindi and English. 

2. Duration of each of the quiz will be 5 minutes (300 seconds), during which a maximum of 20 questions can be answered.

3. Winners of the contest will be announced on the basis of combined performance in all the above quizzes. However, participants will be allowed in all the above quizzes without round-wise elimination.

4. There will be ten cash prizes for the winners of the contest selected on the basis of combined performance in all the above quizzes as under / 

(a) 1st Prize – Rs.25,000/- 

(b) 2nd Prize – Rs.15,000/- 

(c) 3rd Prize – Rs.10,000/-

(d) Consolation Prizes (Seven) – Rs. 5,000/- each 

5. Top 250 participants would be issued invitation cards by Ministry of Defence to witness Independence Day Celebration to be held on 15th August, 2024 at Red Fort, Delhi.

6. All participants to the Quiz will get an online generated certificate of participation by MyGov.in.

International Spell Bee Competition 2024

Participate in the prestigious International Spell Bee Competition 2024 - Online Mode. This renowned event aims to nurture language skills, enrich vocabulary, and encourage healthy academic competition among students worldwide.

The International Spell Bee Competition 2024 is scheduled to take place online on October 15th, 2024, and October 25th, 2024. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots for flexibility, with each participant having 60 minutes to complete the examination, comprising two sections: Spell Bee (55 minutes) and an Audio Round (5 minutes). The exam format includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be proctored online, requiring a compulsory webcam on every laptop/desktop/mobile phone. Students can attempt the exam from the school computer lab or from home. To aid preparation, a mock test and downloadable PDFs are available on our website.

The top 3 students from classes 2-8 will be honoured with the Scholar's Trophy and Merit Certificate. Additionally, top performers, based on percentiles, will receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze Medals. Schools with more than 25 students in a class participating in an Olympiad exam will be eligible for the Medal of Excellence and a Merit Certificate. Every participant will receive a detailed performance report and a Digital Participation Certificate. Schools with over 25 participants will receive a Trophy for Academic Excellence. Moreover, the top 10 Principals, teachers, and Coordinators will receive Appreciation Awards with Gift vouchers.

The registration fee is INR 500, and registration is open until October 15th, for the October 15th, 2024 exam date and October 25th for the October 25th exam date. We encourage both individual and school registrations, offering an excellent opportunity for students from classes 1 to 8 to showcase their language proficiency and compete on an international platform.

Time: Exam will be available for 24hrs on 15th October and 25th October (whichever date student opted), students can start anytime between those 24hrs, but once started exam will end in its pescribed time limit of 1 hr.
Duration: 60 Minutes
The exam consists of two sections:
1. Section-1: Spell Bee 
2. Section-2: Audio Round

SPACE OLYMPIAD JUNIOR invites students from Class 1 to Class 12 to participate in different categories 
CAT 1 grade 1st to 6th can only submit  
VISUAL ART and 
CAT 2  Grade 7th to 12th can submit both VISUAL ART/ LITERERY ART to expressing their creativity and vision. Their submissions are judged by our panel including artists, scientists, teachers, engineers and astronauts. The winning artwork is woven into displays and performances designed to relay the youth artists' messages to other young people and  artists around the world.

Brillante Piano Festival -5th Edition

The 5th Edition of Brillante is scheduled to be held on 28-29 Sept 2024 @ Bengaluru. The Brillante Piano Festival brings you talented pianists from across the globe. The festival has a whole package of Competitions, Performances and Pedagogy all in one edition.



Registration fee for all categories will be (INR) ₹2500 for domestic candidates and (USD) $30 for non-domestic candidates.

One piece of the competitor's choice from standard Western Classical Repertoire (inclusive of modern composers).
Duration: Should be less than 10 minutes.
The audition piece and Semi-Final round piece will not be permitted in this round.

One jazz piece of the competitor's choice with a live drummer and bassist. Official drummer and bassist will be provided by the competition organizers.
Duration: Must not be more than 8 minutes.
The audition and semi-final pieces will not be permitted in this round.
It is encouraged that the competitors who proceed from the audition to the semi-final round provide their intended piece for the final round so that the official musicians can be prepared.
The organizers will facilitate in organizing one on-site practice session with the official musicians. The on-site practice session will be available only for the finalists and will be scheduled after the semi-final results are declared
