SIDBI Logo Design Contest 2017

SIDBI invites participation from general public to design the visual identity of the Bank through a logo that capture the essence of the brand according to the broad theme. The details of the contest are as under :

Name of the contest  :   SIDBI Logo Design Contest 2017
Participants:  Individuals who have attained the age of majority, residents of indian & other Indian entities.    
Participation: One entry per individual with maximum 3 images
Submission fee :  Nil.
Prize money : Rs. 10,000/- for the selected logo design (subject to TDS, etc, if applicable) and Citation
Validity period   10 days (Sept. 20, 2017–Sept. 29, 2017) which could be extended by the Bank at its discretion

Broad theme for the logo:

SIDBI has played a vital role over 27 years of its existence as a provider of finance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through a large number of intermediaries as well as directly through its network. Besides normal term loans and working capital, it has created market for specialized offerings such as micro finance, venture capital, risk capital, green financing, credit guarantees, ratings as also various development initiatives for the sector it serves.

 SIDBI’s interventions are now aimed to be made deeper and wider to rejuvenate the competitiveness of MSMEs in the global arena and to strengthen and develop other intermediaries, including new age Fintechs, working in the MSME eco system.  It intends to leverage technology to improve access to finance by MSMEs in the informal sector.  The new logo must reflect the changing landscape in financial inclusion through innovation led business and start-ups and greater positive impact on society.  Details of SIDBI’s profile and area of operations including subsidiaries and associates are available in its website https://www.sidbi.in.

Chevening Scholarships for Post Graduate Degree in UK

HOW TO APPLY
Applications for 2017/2018 Chevening Scholarships are open between 12:00 BST on Monday, 7 August 2017 and 12:00 GMT on Tuesday, 7 November 2017.
Applications for Chevening Scholarships can only be submitted using the Chevening online application system, available at http://www.chevening.org/india/

Eligibility
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.
Have at least two years’ work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, so please refer to your country page for further details)
Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 12 July 2018
Meet the Chevening English language requirement by 12 July 2018

In order to receive a Chevening Award, all applicants must demonstrate that they have fulfilled the Chevening English language requirement by 12 July 2018. We advise all applicants to ensure they have fulfilled the English language requirement as early as possible by either:


  • Taking an English language test
  • Claiming an exemption based on the UKVI exempt categories

2500 SCHOLARSHIPS (NATIONAL FUND) For STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-18

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites applications from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarship Scheme (National Fund).
Under this scheme, 2500 National Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification.
Every year 2500 scholarships will be provided to the differently-abled students throughout the country. 30% scholarships will be reserved for girls, which will be transferable to male students in case of non-availability of female candidates.
Applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) for scholarship from 01.07.2013 to 31.08.2013 and scholarship shall be awarded once in a academic year under this scheme. Applicant has to submit hard copy of the application duly recommended by the head of the institution.

Rate of Scholarship and other benefits under the scheme:
4.1 The following benefits will be available under the scheme:-
 
(i) Non-refundable fees shall be fully awarded in case of Government/Government-aided institution. In case of private Institutes the reimbursement would be restricted to similar courses in Government/Government-aided institutions.
(ii) Maintenance allowance will be paid to the students for a period of 10 months only in one academic year at following rates.

Conditions for Scholarship:
i) Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution. Maintenance, book/stationary allowance and grant for purchase of assistive devices will be credited to the student's account. Non-refundable fees shall be reimbursed to the student on production of proof of deposit of fees or will be paid directly to the Institute under intimation to the student.
ii) Scholarship will be awarded for only one course at a time.
iii) Students who get admission to a college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship without any consideration of percentage of marks at higher secondary/graduation level.
iv) Students who get admission in technical/professional courses without facing any competitive examination will also be eligible for scholarship. However, such students should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level. Selection of these students will be done strictly on merit basis.In case of female students should have not less than 45% marks at highersecondary/graduation level.
v) Students who pursue their education through correspondence would also be eligible for the scholarship.
vi) Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years will be subject to successful completion of the course during the preceding year. However, grace period shall be admissible for Girl Students and Students failing in category C-4 is of two years and for all other categories is for one year w.e.f. the academic year 2014-15.
vii) A candidate who is awarded scholarship for one course, after its completion will be eligible for another course too. However, the awardees will not be eligible for a similar or equivalent course.
viii) A scholarship holder under this Scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.
ix) The annual income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 3.00 lakh from all sources. However, preference shall be given to economically weaker students.
How to apply 
Application in enclosed prescribed format shall be submitted at any time during an academic year to the assigned agency. An advance copy of the application should also be submitted on line. Each applicant shall be given a registration number on receipt of the application. The screening committee shall examine these applications quarterly and the scholarship amount will be disbursed.

Academic record – attested copies of relevant certificates/mark sheets for the qualifying examination.
ii) Proof of annual income - Proof of income shall include last salary slip of parent/guardian, acknowledgement of income tax/income certificate e from revenue official/gazetted officer/public representative e.g. MP, MLA, MLC, Panchayat officials etc.;
iii) Attested copy of Disability certificate;
iv) Course fee receipt if any, duly paid during the academic session;
v) Receipt/Invoice of eligible assistive devices duly countersigned by the authorized signatory of the institution;
vi) Attested copy of Aadhar Card
vii) In case of continuation of scholarship in a succeeding year, a copy of the mark sheet of the preceding year.
