Themes

Earth – Protect Biodiversity and Natural Habitats

The variety of life forms on earth, including genes, species, and ecosystems, is known as biological diversity or biodiversity. Loss of biodiversity results in serious reductions in the goods (such as food, medicine, and raw materials) and services (such as clean water and nutrient cycling) provided by the earth’s ecosystems, which make human survival and economic prosperity possible. Through the provision of biological resources and ecosystem services, biodiversity is an essential component of human development and human security. A natural habitat is an ecological or environmental area where a specific species lives.

Cultural Heritage Preservation

Cultural heritage preservation means keeping the artifacts and traditions of a community intact against factors trying to change them or wear them away. Some common examples are restoring historical buildings, passing on an ancient craft, or recording traditional tales. Cultural heritage is crucial for communities.

Accessibility

Accessibility can be viewed as the "ability to access" and benefit from some system or entity. The concept focuses on enabling access for people with disabilities or enabling access using assistive technology; however, research and development in accessibility brings benefits to everyone. You should consider the number and types of potential accessibility issues users will have. These are the common barriers:

Visual, Motor/mobility, Auditory, Seizures, Learning/Cognitive.

Humanitarian Action

Humanitarian action is the active provision of aid designed to save lives, alleviate suffering, and restore and promote human dignity in the wake of disasters and during large-scale emergencies.

Health

Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity. There are several factors that directly or indirectly affect health.

Among these social, cultural, and envi¬ronmental factors play a dominant role in determining individual and group health.

AI for Good

Like never before, our world is changing faced with some of our most critical challenges, human ingenuity triumphs. AI for Good initiative enables a person with an idea to accelerate it, to give it scale, to create change for the better. Today we are empowering others to forge new paths, to fight famine before a crisis strikes and protect ecosystems by identifying forests & trees. It’s all about how AI innovations can help us for betterment of our planet and mankind.
